You’re the first quilter I’ve watched that suggests sewing the second line on a half square triangle. I always wonder why it’s not standard to do that as we all want to save on fabric and it’s a perfect little square to add to a future project.

I have never heard of that block and what you did with it is awesome! A few years ago I cut all my old fat quarters into 5" squares and I have made many quilts with them, many from your wonderful videos! I have taken all my scraps and cut them into usable squares, many 2.5" squares, 3", 4" and 2" strips and 1.5" strips, so I have some string quilts in the future, too! I will be trying some of your new blocks! Who is minding your quilt shop while you are gone? You seem to be on a very long vacation! Who is watching your "chickens who like quilting, too?" You are a fabulous instructor and I love your videos, thank you so much for taking the time to share them with us! Keep the faith, just don't keep it to yourself! Have a fun trip!

Thank you for all the wonderful tutorials! It really helps to watch you construct some of these blocks that might otherwise look too complicated. So sweet of you to share with us. Thanks as well to your fantastic camera man.

I subscribe to your channel and I receive e mail alerts when you do a new one. I also go back to your older ones. I am so very, very far away from you but you are in my sewing room almost every day. Thanks. from the very easterly coast of Canada.

I love all your patterns . On this one I think I would use some 2 inch by 4 inch finished flying geese patterns for some parts. You make everything so easy to understand.

I know this as wind blown square, but with a plain centre, and less piecing, ie bigger triangles

Of course you have enough pieces for a tiny block in your leftovers. I would prefer to use 2 7/8", or 3," and get two full size patches per 2 squares with no leftovers. And the outer "geese" squares could be done 8-at-a-time. Web piecing woul hlp, keeping the pieces in place.
