Stunning, beautiful, heartfelt homage to one of the greatest bands ever. Warren has a knack of squeezing more greatness out of greatness.!!! Their are hardly words worthy of the talent displayed by this band..!!

Wow, been a Floyd, David Gilmour fan since the 70's, haven't heard much Warren Haynes before this. All I can say is that it's mind blowing, I am sure David Gilmour was blown away when he first heard this, you can hear that it's Shine on you crazy diamond, the lead guitar is completely different, but yet its still the same, absolutely fantastic from a life long Pink Floyd fan.

There is absolutely no doubt that Warren Haynes ranks right up there with the best of them; Les Paul, Jim Stafford, Eric Clapton and Jerry Garcia (God rest his soul) to name but a few. Talented and well trained gifted musicians and I have no doubt their music will out live me. Thank you Warren Haynes for the beauty you bring into this world.

Just stumbled on to this video. There are covers that do the original justice. And then there is the rare performance that transcends the here and now to deliver the heart and soul of the original masterpiece. This is one of the rarest of them.

I got to see Warren Haynes at ACL in Austin a few years ago. All I really knew about him is that he played with The Allman Brother’s Band. I was so damn impressed! He is a treasure, and should be remembered as one of the best guitarists of our generation. Thanks Warren and band for a great cover.👏🏻

God how I LOVE THIS MUSIC! Every decade of my life has given me music that speaks to my soul. For that I am born in 1961 and often tell others I was born a hippie and became the adult I am BECAUSE OF ROCK AND ROLL. Lol. My point to the younger generations...keep on Rockin. It keeps you young. I am proof. July 2 I turn 60... And listen to music like this ALL THE TIME.

Yes.... It's certain music, certain bands, that keep you in tune with reality, ... So to speak. 51 here, by the way...... And I don't get, and feel bad for, this generation of music... ( if you want to call it that).... A lot just sucks, and they don't get the experience of buying a new ALBUM... Taking it home, checking out every single thing about the cover, the sleeve, the liner, the pictures... I used to love that.... It's just a different experience than it is now.

I had the immense pleasure of seeing Dark Side of the Mule at Christmas Jam 2018. What a wonderful night of music it was. A memorable experience.

I was also at that same show in Asheville. What a great night with a lineup of talented musicians all coming together for a good cause. If I remember right the following nights show was postponed due to a snowstorm. Warren and Dave Grohl ended up playing at the Orange Blossom instead since they were stuck in town anyway.

Massive Pink Floyd fan and don't usually like covers but this, well... hats off to Mr. Haynes, this is indeed a treat, a cover every bit the equal of the original. Really good to hear a younger player with such technique and sensitivity. True to the original, yet so very much a Warren Haynes master class.

Ive never seen Warren without his Les Paul. Wow this sounds amazing. The single coil setup is perfect for this song. Its awesome that he plays the song so brilliantly even down to the kind of guitar Gilmore used. Its not the same strat but you can hear that same style of tone.

This is quite lovely. I wish more musicians would play such deep tributes to their peers. I was just going to say the only thing I miss is David's ability to sing and play when Warren hopped in at 9:30 or so with credible vocals. And all of this as a love song to a lost friend, Syd Barrett. Is there anything better than good music?

I lived in Burlington VT in the mid 90s warren and the original mule line up where regulars at Club Toast. Little club held a couple 100 people. Close enough to tug his pants leg. A lot of fun. They where terrific. #where's my mule!

The Saxophone and the Keyboard are 2 staples of Rock-n-Roll that have been dropped by modern bands....and could be a big factor in why the quality of music they produce isn't of the same quality as classic rock.

But not just ANY KB player and sax player. This is a good cover but nobody touches Rick Wright RIP and Dick Parry. And for that matter David Gilmour but Warren does an admirable job here....

Improvising within a set piece of music is hard. Warren is a master of bringing something new to the table in the framework of a cover. By contrast, the saxophone solo shows what happens when you've decided that, because you're a good player, you can "wing it," figuring that, since it's improve over a blues chord figure, that there's really no such thing as a wrong note, right? Wrong.

My sister took me to see these guys during Jazz Fest week in New Orleans in 2018. Man, what a treat. Awesome band in a remarkable place, the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Not sure I spelled that right but if you get a chance, go see them live.
