Wow, been a Floyd, David Gilmour fan since the 70's, haven't heard much Warren Haynes before this. All I can say is that it's mind blowing, I am sure David Gilmour was blown away when he first heard this, you can hear that it's Shine on you crazy diamond, the lead guitar is completely different, but yet its still the same, absolutely fantastic from a life long Pink Floyd fan.

I got to see Warren Haynes at ACL in Austin a few years ago. All I really knew about him is that he played with The Allman Brother’s Band. I was so damn impressed! He is a treasure, and should be remembered as one of the best guitarists of our generation. Thanks Warren and band for a great cover.👏🏻

Yes.... It's certain music, certain bands, that keep you in tune with reality, ... So to speak. 51 here, by the way...... And I don't get, and feel bad for, this generation of music... ( if you want to call it that).... A lot just sucks, and they don't get the experience of buying a new ALBUM... Taking it home, checking out every single thing about the cover, the sleeve, the liner, the pictures... I used to love that.... It's just a different experience than it is now.

I had the immense pleasure of seeing Dark Side of the Mule at Christmas Jam 2018. What a wonderful night of music it was. A memorable experience.

I was also at that same show in Asheville. What a great night with a lineup of talented musicians all coming together for a good cause. If I remember right the following nights show was postponed due to a snowstorm. Warren and Dave Grohl ended up playing at the Orange Blossom instead since they were stuck in town anyway.

Massive Pink Floyd fan and don't usually like covers but this, well... hats off to Mr. Haynes, this is indeed a treat, a cover every bit the equal of the original. Really good to hear a younger player with such technique and sensitivity. True to the original, yet so very much a Warren Haynes master class.

Ive never seen Warren without his Les Paul. Wow this sounds amazing. The single coil setup is perfect for this song. Its awesome that he plays the song so brilliantly even down to the kind of guitar Gilmore used. Its not the same strat but you can hear that same style of tone.

I was just going to say the only thing I miss is David's ability to sing and play when Warren hopped in at 9:30 or so with credible vocals. I lived in Burlington VT in the mid 90s warren and the original mule line up where regulars at Club Toast. Little club held a couple 100 people. Close enough to tug his pants leg. A lot of fun. They where terrific. #where's my mule!

Improvising within a set piece of music is hard. Warren is a master of bringing something new to the table in the framework of a cover. By contrast, the saxophone solo shows what happens when you've decided that, because you're a good player, you can "wing it," figuring that, since it's improve over a blues chord figure, that there's really no such thing as a wrong note, right? Wrong.

My sister took me to see these guys during Jazz Fest week in New Orleans in 2018. Man, what a treat. Awesome band in a remarkable place, the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Not sure I spelled that right but if you get a chance, go see them live.
