How many of us have experienced an ABM being down? Well.. banks will start facing penalties if they don’t stay on top of their maintenance!
Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke says that in 2026, when Jamaica switches over to the twin peaks model of finance regulation, we can expect there to be some changes for regulation and penalties.
What are your thoughts on this?

This is great and all but an unintended consequence will be thay some ABM locations will be permanently shut down as they wouldnt want to be responsible for so many machines.

I agree with the government for imposing this fine; however, I am disappointed with the waiting period.

Totally agree! When you do find a working ATM, it's only large notes that you get. Can't tell when last I got small notes like 500 or 100.

Because they require functioning Internet and most of these are supported by Flow. If you have ever been a customer of Flow, you know exactly why

How will the government monitor all those ABM’s for compliance? The government does not have a stellar record monitoring anything in this country.
