In this video I go over the gov spring install, adjustments, and tips/tricks on how to dial in and manipulate the spring stack to get the results we are looking for. Thank you for watching, I think next we pull out a plunger and barrel assembly ;)

To add to your fuel shut off lever trick, don't even take the lever off. Simply loosen it, then slide it forward so it is still on the key and tighten the 8mm head bolt. That way the key won't slide out and the lever is out of the way enough so that you can remove and install the governor spring cap during adjustment. When working under the hood of the truck, it lessens the chance of losing it.

Just things I get calls for and thought why not get this in a video. Especially this year it seems to be more common that the nut adjustments are not being measured before disassembly causing all kinds of fun.

My top retainer has an adjustable outer ring..can I just tighten it up a few notches?..

We personally run Lucas oil stabilizer or Lucas oil zddp If it is competitive use only you can run a racing 50w oil. But they do not have the same cleaning agents that are needed for long duration change intervals like your base 15-40’s are etc…

Great video. I just started building a 1995 work stock puller a few months ago and did my second pull with it last weekend in Denair. I have the fuel system set up with 5x18s, max travel spring, PDD foot, AFC live, no fuel plate, housing slid toward the pump (Not sure what valves it has yet) paired with a 372 SXE but it just seems low on power at only roughly 2,800 RPMs. Looks like I should get some 60 pound valve springs, better hardware, and then do what you did in the video for a 4K kit! Thanks!

Springs locks and retainers and let it sing. Sounds like you will be joining us next year in competition if the pull was denair CA.
