Has anyone ever adapted this to a John Deere 1025R tractor? Most informative. Keep up the good work.

Searching comments for where to find the angling kit and not seeing where in the comments. Assuming dealer ordered part because even google search is only coming up with manuals or pdf files. Used part number to search was going to order online if I could find one but no luck. Just purchased the Lt2610 today with extra ports for hydraulics on front and back! Land pride fear blade was also in the purchase now want to add the hydraulic to the blade for this winter. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow to find me one if possible. Good morning GP,good job on the install.A couple pointers for the future.The O-ring fittings with the sealing nut DO not need teflon sealing tape,thats the purpose of the o-ring under the nut,Just screw the fitting in,orient the fitting,then tighten the nut.ALSO,you dont need tape on the tapered swivel fittings either,the tapered seat does the sealing when tightened.Generally,swiveled or o-ring fittings need no tape,eveything else usaually does.Its a learning curve,you did a good job,dealer would have charged 250.00 to do that.

Rear remotes are the cat's meow GP. You are gonna be tickled to death with the set up. Chains of any kind are better than none...but now you know that first hand. Those fittings that go into the cylinder are ORB's...O-Ring Boss fittings. The oring does the sealing, no teflon required. The flared end is a JIC, which is a 37 degree flare. No thread seal either. Dang that's a neat adaption....and to think you 'claim' to be non-mechanical. LOL.. Ya done good sir.

Saw your video about your truck theft. It's terrible you had to go through that, but watching this video afterward it came to mind that Kubota tractor keys are generic. One key will fit a wide range of models and even other equipment such as RTV's, loaders, or mowers, not just your tractor. Recently learned this after my purchase of a new Kubota M4D. This may be a topic you could cover in a future video for the community and something you should find a remedy to for yourself.

I bought a Land Pride 60 inch blade a few months ago for my BX 2380. I tried getting a hydraulic kit only to find put Land Pride doesn't offer a hydraulic kit for the 5 foot blade. I made up my own hydraulic kit by first installing a diverter valve. I then bought and installed two hoses routing them under the tractor tie wrapped to existing pipes to keep the hoses out off the way. I then bought a hydraulic cylinder ( 8" inch stroke) and Pioneer connectors from Princess Auto. Because my blade wasn't designed for a hydraulic kit I had to weld attachments for the cylinder. I wasn't sure how strong the "wings" were (where one end of the cylinder attaches) so I beefed up the wings by welding 1/4 x 2 1/2 x 8 inch long steel plates to both wings and centre piece. To be extra safe I then welded gusset plates to prevent torquing of the assembly when the blade is down. Before I installed the hydraulics I noticed the blade was under a lot of stress when clearing my gravel hill so I decided to really beef up the wings and centre. I didn't get rear remotes installed because of the cost. The diverter cost me CAD 280 which is a whole lot less than a rear remote. I was lucky, my local hydraulic shop talked me through what fittings I needed and how to wire up the diverter. All up, it cost me CAD500, a big part of which was the diverter which I can use for other attachments hydraulics. Time wise, it took about eight hours.

Surprising that the rear hydraulic remotes on a cab tractor were an option. Now that you've got them installed, you'll be happy to have them come snow clearing season.

A cordless Milwaukee 1/2” impact is a must for acreage. I’ll probably have to fab something for my plow

Just re-watched this. In hindsight I sure wish I had bought the RB1672 instead of the RB1572, which has no hydro kit option. Considered trying to fab one but I'm thinking I may just have to sell the RB15 and upgrade! I didn't deep dive into the comments but I'm guessing this is the video where your viewers shared their various levels of "expertise" on hydraulics and teflon tape!?! 😉😂 Cheers my friend. 👍

You probably just didn’t film this, but you probably need to add hydraulic fluid to replace the fluid taken up by the cylinder and the hoses. The other thing I do is plug the fitting protector that came off the rear remote into the fitting protector that came off the hose end; as, that keeps both protectors quite a bit cleaner. Especially the female fitting that will go back on the hose end when you take the blade off. Great video!!

I bought my Kubota Grand L 4240 GST with rear remotes. You can use the 1st remote even with the detent function. Just a pain to remove the fitting from the remote. My machine came with 3 rear remotes. I use the 3rd remote for a hydraulic top link. BEST THING I EVER DID.

Congrats on another great video . . . I priced some rear remotes for my B2650 cabbed tractor and almost choked . . . . I want to purchase an offset flail mower. The remotes put the product out of my price range. . . GP, I was told by my automobile repair mentor to pull torque wrenches instead of pushing them. Take a trip to a tractor supply store and pick up some cheap tarps to cover your equipment. Bad things can happen to equipment that sits outside 24-7 in the and on the ground. This new and even old equipment is a major cash investment. It’s easy to spend $30,000.00 on a tractor backhoe combo along with a tiller etc. I keep a roof over my tractor and I keep a heater plugged into it 24-7 in the winter months. I also treat every gallon of fuel I use in it. Our temperature here got down to 5 degrees above zero . And we also got 5 inches of snow. The tractor started on the first crank. I own a Kubota 2301 which is the same frame size tractor you use to own. Enjoy your new power angled blade. Thanks ,take care And stay safe😅

Nice to see you adding more of the toys, Gord! For the amount of grading you do, that angle kit is a perfect addition. I bought my blade with the kit already installed (no extra charge since I didn’t it when I bought the tractor) and although I haven’t used the blade much yet, it’s been great to have the hydraulic angle. It will definitely get used more in the coming years as I build more trails through the acreage. Cheers!

I couldn't agree more with the added rear remotes GP. When I bought my J.Deere two years ago I ordered it with two rear remotes. So glad I did too. I also got a rear sickle bar mower and the sickle bar is raised and lowered from the operator seat. No getting on and off. Good job GP.

Like you, I always grease the pins where the cylinder mounts. I did not use the factory pins. Instead I used two rubberized red-handled hitch pins. This makes it very quick and easy to pull the two hair pins and remove the cylinder from my blade. I only use the blade for winter snow removal so I remove the cylinder during the summer and store it in the garage. This prevents corrosion and helps extend the life of the hoses.

Nice addition. So nice not having to get on and off to angle blades. I know some manufacturers have it so you can flip the blade backwards and reconnect the cylinder.

That's a well thought out kit. I have to say, when doing research on implements, I was really happy with LP. I was trying to purchase an LP rcr1860, but couldn't locate one that wasn't orange. Good job on the install Gord. Side note, I like the grease on the contact points, even if it doesn't mention it. Wise man.

Nice job GP. Glad you opted to install the rear remotes. You’ll find many more attachments that will work better with remotes...like a top link😜 Even if a tractor does not have rear remotes but has a hydraulic cylinder you can still get it to turn, by hand. All you need to do is make up an double female quick coupler adapter. Hook both hose together with adapter, turn blade by hand, disconnect hoses. Cylinder will stay locked by fluid in cylinder.

Rear remotes seem like they would be darn near essential if a person can stand the hit to the wallet. I bet you will enjoy the heck out of having them this winter.

On another topic - time to get the boat out and winterized. We had a frozen engine block when the storage didn't get all the water out. Expensive repair. Great tractor video / good work and didn't even have to get Guy's help. Take care

Glad you got the rear hydraulics! A hydraulic top link is super handy. The hydraulic tilt is pretty good. If I only could choose one, I'd do the top link.

That will surely help in snow removal as well as other uses. No need to get out of the cab and reposition the blade.

Now you need a Hydraulic top link. Lets you adjust the bade for a light cut or hard cut.

I know this an old post but felt the need to add my 2 cents. If you ever have to disassemble a fitting that has had Teflon tape, please be careful and observe carefully for any very small fragments of the tape. It tends to shread into very tiny pieces. You need tiny dental picks to get all the tiny pieces out of the threads and any that may be floating around in the oil. Just one very small piece getting into your hydraulic system can block the small orifice and screw up the entire system. That has been my experience with Teflon tape. I just trying to help.

Just a little tip. When ever you remove anything where metal is touching metal put a little wax, car wax on the two pieces. It will help slow down rust.

Great instalation video Gord . You always go into great detail when doing one . Glad you got those remotes when ordering the tractor . Yes more money upfront but well worth the money . I'll bet it would cost more to get them put in afterwards . I would have put the reverse blade part in . You just never know . Besides now you have a hunk of steel to put some place . Don't forget to check the hydralic fluid . Take care .

Hi GP, Nice install! It will awesome to stay in the cab and not have to get out to change the angle! I have a couple of suggestions. The large center pivot bolt, when I re-install bolts like that, I like to add a bit of white grease or never seize to allow them to easily be removed later. For wire tie installation, instead of using side cutters to trim them, use the end of a pair of standard pliers or lineman's pliers right at the hole and twist them until they break. This way, there won't be the very sharp edge sticking out which always seems to cut you later. Great video as always!

Hello Gord. Nice setup for the back blade. Good tip you mention about the tape past the threads, when building my splitter the local hydraulic shop mentioned that as well. The alternative is to use high temp thread sealant.

HEADS UP! That 3rd cap on the side of the cylinder that you have facing towards the inside toward the tractor end, may be just a paint cap. I purchased a rear blade with the hydraulic when I bought my MX5200. The dealership missed the cap as well. A few uses in the cap failed and I was shooting hydraulic fluid 10'-15' out the side of the cylinder. That needs a plug installed. The paint cap looks like a plug and its even threaded but won't hold up to those pressures. I love my hydraulic in my rear blade. Beats getting on and off the tractor. You didn't go wrong on that upgrade.

Now we need a demo video...driveway must need a touch-up. Love your videos!!

Tip: I have the same kit on my B2650, if you loop the hydraulic hoses below the 3pt arm they will fit nicely. And you will not have them all curled up. Timestamp: 15:36. As always love your videos! -Cheers!

Love to install this on my 2006 B7800. I have this same blade but I'm not sure it would be possible. I do not have the hydraulic remote at rear. No hydraulic controls at all. I only mow grass with a 72" belly deck.

Since you have two remotes, now you need a hydraulic top link cylinder. Having control on the pitch when using a rear blade, a box blade or a land plane makes all the difference in the world. It's not that expensive and simply replace the top link you already have.

you will like that ram on that blade, i have a Rhino 850 blade i added the ram to it is a 8' blade it is very heavy i use it on my new 4052R cab John Deere 4x4 tractor and it works great i been looking at tractors like yours to use my 6' finish mower on

Another good video Gord. Makes me want to get one too. The used MX came with rear connectors to turn the blower shoot for the winter. I can see how I might use it for a blade too, if needed . No frost or freezing yet in my neck of the woods. Lowest temp was 4C...but I know it’s coming. After market cab is $6k, not sure I want to shell that out, yours looks cozy...it’s ok tho, I will use the cabless cold times blowing as training for when I ride down the hills on my snowboard. My weekend was spent splitting wood, teaching my better half to drive the tractor and use the loader, watching her and a friend get out of a sticky situation with dropping maple which turned into a hung tree. Never Teflon tape on flared or o-ring connections. In fact you shouldn't use Teflon tape on hydraulic systems, pick yourself some pneumatic and hydraulic thread sealer.

Greetings from eastern Ontario. Great video. Same as you I didn't get any rear remotes when I bought my tractor but added two of them later. Use one for a hydraulic top link. Makes using the 3 point much easier. Not sure if you mentioned what you are doing with your old tire chains but putting them for sale on Kijiji would get you some cash toward new ones. Used tractor tire chains sell pretty quick around here. Cheers.

GP, glad to see you bought rear remotes! I bought a hydraulic top link for my tractor as well. It is amazing! I can easily raise and lower my landscape rake and rotary mower, as well as the angle on my box blade! I hope you consider getting a hydraulic top link.

Good job GP the beveled ends on the hydraulic JIC fittings don't require the teflon tape but it doesn't hurt as long as its not on the bevel.

The bevel is a JIC and does not use teflon tape. NPT (national pipe thread) does need tape. Very nice set up with the hydraulics. Expensive but worth it if you own the tractor for many years.

Nice install! I thought you mentioned a four letter word: "snow"! Please pardon my language. I was just thinking when it would be best to install my snow blade, chains and weights. I still got another two mows and maybe a "leaf mowing" before I do. Yesterday I mowed my in-laws which is hilly and has many granite outcroppings. The only access is a 45 degree hill! Not bad going down but was worried I'd have to use my truck to tow my Cub Cadet XT1 back up. I was surprised my little tractor went back up the hill on its own beautifully! I leaned forward with my chest on the steering wheel and my chin almost on the hood! Best Regards, Jay

Nice clean install on the hydraulics GP. I think you will get a lot of use out of the rear remotes in the days ahead. Princess Auto sells a hydraulic top link for around $200 that you may want to check out.

You could of fooled me saying you're not mechanically inclined. You did a good job 👏 👍. So, when you run you run your box blade you can put on a top and tilt system. Oh the things we can make you spend on now that you have rear remotes! 😅🤣😂😁

I like how you can just add the hydraulic angle to the blade and not have to buy a new one. If I was bleeding the hydraulic lines I would use a funnel and take the tractor ends off. I would do it this way to keep air out of the tractor hydraulic system I know it will not hurt the tractor but it makes me feel better.

Its nice not to get in and out in the cold.

I never use tape on flared connections and the only tape I use for hydraulics or oil is the yellow tape (here in the US). I think that it's good for propane too. Other than that, you did a great job.

Hi GP I have the same setup on my B2650 and loving it. When I added the quick hitch I had a issue with hydraulic hose interference. I had my dealer replace the strait ends with 90 degree ends.

I'm sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but if you can't unhook and re-hook a tool on the FEL, maybe you should be practicing that and learn the difference ways things work. Use your imagination. That being said, I've grown up in the country and operate a tractor almost daily. As far as the hydraulic, there are other cheaper options like 5-way valves that run by cables and only require one service port.

That is a nice addition for sure. It is pain when you have to get off the tractor to adjust and implement. It is even worse if you have to get out of a climate controlled cab.
