Cinabench supported GPUs before. Remember the car chase scene? It used a seemingly broken version of OpenGL. I think they stopped doing that after R15?

Unfortunately this cinebench is more optimized for Nvidia GPUs so it isn’t a fair comparison. They will fix this eventually though.

@@samson7294 Simply, it is based on RedShift, that is the reason and AMD HIP is just a bridge to nV technology

It worked fine with my 6GB RTX 4050 mobile. Apparently the 8GB minimum requirement isn't always relevant.

arm64 is the current 64-bit ARM CPU architecture, as used since the iPhone 5S and later (6, 6S, SE and 7), the iPad Air, Air 2 and Pro, with the A7 and later chips. armv7s (a.k.a. Swift. The x86_64 is just the classic Windows 32 and 64 compatible version, i.e what you need.

now that we can finally compare GPUs on both platforms against each other, we need to really lobby apple to step up and really boost their GPU at this point they’re pretty pathetic - the CPU side is wonderful on the other hand

Aye. It’s impressive for an SoC and can access heaps more memory than any other consumer GPU… however it’s got nothing on the dedicated GPUs on the PC platforms.

@@NomadicMeow - marketing speak for were weak but don’t wanna admit it.. - Thanks apple.. NO i’m a 3d graphics artist FRACK perf/watt - i want Bloody 3d compute power! not a laptop motherboard in a mostly empty case trying to be cute… sorry. its some what relevant for what it is.. But if your a real 3d artist your gonna want multiple RTX 4090s or a renderfarm.. and you don’t give a frack about perf per watt you care about time of render… - NOTE data centers in general do appreciate power savings up to a point…. but not at cost of compute! Why i went TeamRender to the PC with a RTX 4090 in it.. best of both worlds! I can stay happy on my mac while using the PC as a 1 or 2 GPU local render farm!

Yes. This type of test is targeted towards stronger machines used for editing, rendering, transcoding and so on. So 16 gb is a bare minimum.

The GPU benchmark is using CUDA, which could favour Nvidia strongly. I feel there needs to be a check on otherwise similarly performing AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

@@theTechNoticeWhich is still favouring Nvidia, potentially by a large amount. It isn't a fair comparison, and the results will be misleading outside of a very specific scenario. Should have been a standalone product, not in Cinebench imo.

Hey TECH NOTICE! It's just my opinion but 25fps looks abit choppy and there is also no cinematic look. so please review that setting and try 50 fps. In think it will look much better. Always Love Your Content Edit: Are you using 180 degree rule for shutter speed? Cuz that choppy effect is might be due to lack of motion blurr

Motion blur has ZERO to do with shutter speed. If you want to lecture others about what they do badly, at least have the courtesy to know what you are talking about. Motion blur is defined by your fps, and fps ONLY. You can run a shutter speed of 600 on a 24 fps recording, and it will not look any different than if it was 24 from a motion blur standpoint.

They will eventually. Just remember that the ARC is just starting to get relevant, so there's still a gap before developers catch up.

Im literally benchmarking my laptop right now as Im watching this video and it has RTX 3060 with 6GB of VRAM and its working perfectly. The score is 7k+ so far and I dont know whats that 8GB requirement is about

It is not a problem that they require 8gb of V ram . Who would be interested in this or need this if they run a 10XX or the small cards? If you buy an 8 gb card, you are not that serious anyway. There are other solutions if you want to test the small stuff.

Software developers will be asking him to join, he knows what is going on. Windows is a mess over complicated just image there is 3 memory in Windows storage memory, RAM memory, gpu memory, WHY not one and the same, no multiple gpus support for gaming, lets go yes people he knows.

Look into anything that supports HRD1000, runs 1 ms latency and more than 120 fps.
