The picture, at 4:52, of Elvis and his father, Vernon, was taken the day his mother was buried & they had just returned from his mother's funeral. Elvis did not want to go back into the house. So, both Elvis & his father sat there, crying. Also, he was wearing this shirt that had something like a ruffle, at the wrist and he disliked it because of that ruffle. How did I miss this 1st time around?! 🥺 I was on vacation, August '77, turned 17 that June, when I heard it on the radio and was heartbroken! I grew up watching his films and listening and singing his songs right along with him! I'd seen him in Lakeland, FL in September '76 with my mother, her mother and me. My mother passed away that November. Ours wasn't an easy relationship and I think Elvis was one of our few 'connections'. So I grieved for Elvis, me, my mother our relationship or lack thereof and his family. I never knew of this and other duets I've come across. God Bless and Keep You All.

I love the duets! Where no one stands alone was especially beautiful! It's so sad Lisa is gone so young too! She's at peace now! I think her broken heart just couldn't be mended the loss of her son was devastating for her! She tried to be here for her daughters but it just wasn't meant to be, God called her home! RIP Lisa Marie! We love you! I'm sure the loss was harder for her lovely daughters more than anyone. I hope their hearts can find peace and comfort as they continue the Presley legacy!
