Here are the lyrics I understood : [Verse 1] Close the door when you leave I don't need you, trust me (Years go down and the sky won’t change? will change?) For I'll be here, I'll be the same [Pre-chorus] Maybe I just (hyped you up? all?) Like (?), like (?), like (?) Or maybe I was just a little messed up Maybe that's just all it was [Chorus] You are overrated And I am so frustrated And you are too complicated for me For me For me [Verse 2] (Go outside?) Remember in your mind The one thing that (?) (Don’t let fondness fade your eyes?) Memories change but reality bites [Pre-chorus] Maybe I just (hyped you up? all?) Like (?), like (?), like (?) Or maybe I was just a little messed up Maybe that's just all it was [Chorus] You are overrated And I am so frustrated And you are too complicated for me For me For me [Bridge] And if I say : "I hate you" In a way, it's never true I can't read you I'm falling behind I can't follow You're always changing your mind [Chorus] You are overrated And I am so frustrated And you are too complicated for me For me For me

Yes, and she sets really high standards for her music which is EXTREMELY important also. Hence the "trash" comments. Only the best will do. Its a very smart strategy and one that should carry her forward into "icon" territory. The moment you decide that your "trash" is good enough to release (and BTW Overrated is certainly not trash) then you can watch your career start to go bye bye.

Please release everything, even if it is an EP of Grace-At-Work... And let her Fans Decide. We just might find it delicious enough to lift it up. Many Artists leave beautiful melodies on their workdesk, and do not realize it's Value until Years Later. And...HITS sometimes come from unexpected moments. Something that Grabs a Nerve could suddenly jump into the Top Ten. Almost EVERY Popular Artist has a HIT they did not expect to take off. And there are MANY B Side Songs (45's have two sides) in the Rock Era, that surprised everyone, including the Recording Artist.

Grace has a thing for JAZZ. But has been trying to go to Ekectronica or Poppy. I'd love her to pickup the Sax and give us some Hot Notes! Her Fans would LOVE Grace to grab several instruments on stage... In various songs... And do a few Riffs. Piano, Guitar, whatever she knows... Doing that on the SAX in a Solo... would be Awesome! She could mix her Etherial Sounds with a Sax cutting through... Just some thoughts. She's using the Trumpet in her songs ... Switch to the SAX! She can STILL do her Bops or Poppy Sounds. It ALL works, because it's from GRACE.
@Calers-gu1ib4 жыл бұрын
@@zipwizardhilot I agree but for the fact her power is in her words and her ability to make basic songs like Miss you and IDKMN. What could hold her back in producing good instrumentals is her confidence in being able to do it, it should have naturally come out of her when she learned the guitar. My son was a natural pianist during his first 10 lessons he developed a style that wasn't suppose to happen for a few years. Her strength doesn't seem to be the beautiful picking of Cat Stevens or the magic of Elton. Maybe if Grace stuck with the sax she might have been as fluent as Elton was with his piano

Agee he might have, but I don't think he would have told his audience that the song he was singing was a little bit better than trash (l was next to the guy groaning loudly, shaking my head).

@@bradhaney3717 Agree Brad sometimes I think Grace doesn't choose her words or think them out enough before she says them to the public. This isn't a bad song, she could have gotten louder or more dynamic at the "you ooo are overrated" at 1:20, have you notice she's not trying to be dynamic in a lot of songs lately. She's remove her personality and traits we are familiar with in her songs just to create her new love (R&B?) She should be developing the dynamics she inserts in her songs since the beginning not tossing them away. As far as I'm concern this type of song if it doesn't have the Vanderwaal style it's just another lounge song. I go by what I like, I don't have a music background so I'm not using the proper musical terms but I think you know what I mean
