When I was a young man, thinking about my death day was just too painful to think about! In my fifties, I went through 7 years of supposedly terminal cancer.....but God said , not yet! Now in my middle sixties, and knowing with confidence my eternal home, I have zero fear, of death! So as an old man, I do look at death as the greatest day of my life! Because all trials, tribulations, pain and suffering are over! And I am with my Jesus, forever, and in perfect condition! That is the bright side of an elderly Believer! Confidence.....and peace! Amen!

A lot of people that don't like dispensations likes to point to the prisoner next to Jesus Christ. To prove salvation did not require 'works' in the Old Testament. Luke 23:42-43(KJV)"42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." Then I remembered, Israel when Jesus Christ was alive, so still in the Old Testament, they had to confess that he was Lord. It wasn't enough to just believe on him. Especially if you recognize Romans 10 is a parenthetical part of Romans that is to Israel. Then you got Matthew 10:32(KJV)"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." Luke 12:8(KJV)"Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:"

Another good verse to bring up - Matthew 10:23 - "But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come." The key point in the verse is, "...Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come." Israel was told not to go to the gentiles until the kingdom started. That's why in Acts 10, Peter said it was unlawful for Jews to enter into the house of a gentile - because it wasn't their time yet. So right now - it's literally impossible to witness to the gentiles under that commission.
