Good for you, I am so happy for you. Let it be known that you were sinning because of being a drunk. Let it also be known that it isn't drinking that is the sin, but the getting drunk which is the sin. There are many scriptures where God instruct us to drink wine, but there are also other scriptures which speak against getting drunk. Stay strong God Bless

WRONG!!! Why do you think Jesus died on the cross for you? If you could keep all of the ten commandments, everyday for the rest of your life(that is the requirement) ,before the crucifixion, then Christ died in vain. We wouldn’t need Him. Salvation is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. The Ten Commandments were to show us how impossible it is to keep them and that trusting in Jesus shed blood on the cross to pay for our sins was the only way we could enter heaven . The Old Testament books and the New Testament books until Romans, were written to the Jews, before the crucifixion. They were under the Kingdom plan, faith plus WORKS lots and lots of works. We are the church age, saved by grace , faith plus NOTHING.

@@amypope9098 we try not to sin because we don’t want to disappoint Jesus. Before we were saved we tried not to sin because of the fear of hell. If you have never sinned since you were saved and you are keeping all of the ten commandments, then you are saying you are sinless. Only God is sinless. We all sin Bethany.. The key is having a sincere repentant heart and believe upon Christ our Savior. Talk to our Heavenly Father and ask for forgiveness. Christ said in Mathew 18:21-22, when asked about forgiveness, that we should forgive a brother 70 times 7. If you have a particular sin that reoccurs often, ask Heavenly Father to help you overcome that sin. Heavenly Father loves you and knows your heart and what you are in need of. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you with blessings and comfort.

Romans 3:23:24- For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standards. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight he did this through Jesus Christ when he freed us from the penalty of our sins. I don't know you I pray in Jesus' name that all guilt, shame, despair, fear, anxiety, and any negative thoughts from the enemy I bind in the name of Jesus. My advice to you is no matter how hard things get do not give up keep trusting in the Lord. He's faithful🙏
