It is absolutely ridiculous that they felt it necessary to remake the stunning Broadchurch. The most beautiful scenery ever, great actors.....

Watching this now on Prime and enjoying it with Tennant (who was fantastic in Good Omens) and Gunn (who was great in Breaking Bad). Saw the original, Broadchurch, a few years ago with Colman and Tennant.

Why can't Americans just leave things alone....? Is Broadchurch in a foreign language? Can't they understand British accents ? It's so useless and weird they remade the best British show in years, so soon after it was made. Ridiculous.

It seems really really similar to Broadchurch, but slightly less melancholy. Just my perception from the trailer. Personally, I don't see why they needed to remake it, we Americans can understand Broadchurch just fine. However, I won't complain because I love David and the fact that he is going to be on American tv makes me really happy

I am so confused, a Scot playing an American, playing the same character in Broadchurch with a different environment and different actors playing the same characters in Broadchurch. I think we are gonna have to find the parallels, even though the British looks, feels and is going to be better, it will be interesting. Watching because Skylar White and David cutipie Tennant

David Tennant changes his Scottish accent a bit to sound more American. In Broadchurch, the killer is someone the dead boy knew well, but I guess this remake needs to change this, but to keep the emotional impact of the reveal, the killer still needs to be someone the dead boy knew well. As usual, it's the one who is least expected, but someone who has some significant screen time.

I think the only thing that will be good about this is Tennant. It's ironic that he's starring in the American variant of broad church

people are so worried and judgemental about David's accent, and all I want to know is if his character will have the same backstory as Alec Hardy (Broadchurch watchers should understand what I mean)

It's not just a remake but a retelling with differing pot points, a different ending and expanded characters. The American release of The Escape Artist was actually better than the UK version because of additional scenes that went more in depth with Will and Maggie and added nuances the UK version just lacked. I'm thinking Gracepoint will do the same.

Just started watching this and other than David Tennant it's really not worth it. While Broadchurch was brilliant!!!

I want to watch this but I just CAN'T! Broadchurch is just SOOOOOO good. The American version just doesn't have the same feel and I can't look at David Tennant and call him anything but ALEC HARDY in this role. I'm sorry it got cancelled, because season two was REALLY good. The story didn't end after this season. :D

I haven’t seen this yet. Is it good? I’m an American and I LOVE Broadchurch. Those who say this was made so that Americans can understand the talking better: just turn on captions while watching the show. That’s what I did at times. So this clearly wasn’t made for that reason. Is it worth watching?

I haven’t seen Gracepoint yet but I’m scared to. The only acceptable US remake of a show (so far) is The Office. I’m sorry, but it was just so much better in America. But the other shows aren’t nearly as good as the original UK versions. I hope this one changes my mind
