I have some major respect for Sloan on this show. I mean she's liked Don for a while and not once has she done anything to ruin his relationship, give him bad advice or anything. She even helped Maggie with some issues. I think that is just so classy

i think its yes n no, decent people would convince them to leave them in a passive way. what i mean is that if blame could be placed they place it on their side (meggie in this case) well glorifying don and maintain a shoulder to cry on. basically subconsciously adding conflict with meggie and comfort from them while sloan seems to be very conscious of her feels and controls them well

I've always enjoyed Don/Sloan scenes, but never really thought of them as a 'THEM' together until this scene. I was totally hooked. Here you have two of the most interesting characters (both kind of awkward/outspoken/blunt in their own way) maybe at the very start of 'something' . There is some kind of crazy chemistry between the characters/actors. I like when Don said she had caught him off guard and then couldn't remember why he'd asked to talk to Jim. Both OM and TS really sold this scene.

"...when people think you're batty, you can learn a lot about them..." Laurel Holloman's line from the movie "Loving Jezebel" that seems so appropo in this clip. Sloan is smart. Very smart. People however think she's a flake because she's socially inept. She however comes up with some of the deepest observations about people she works with. She's the 2nd best character in this show (after Will McAvoy) and it's a crying shame that the show will end after this season....

Cause and effect backwards there. The budget precedes the debt ceiling limit. Yes, of course the limit and the debt go up together--because when Congress decides to spend even more money, they have to authorize a debt ceiling increase afterwards to pay for it. If you want to stop government borrowing more money, you act on the budget. If you want government to borrow more money and then forget to pay money it already owes, you act on the debt ceiling. Simple.

The debt ceiling refers to how much debt can be issued and in no way affects "borrowing more money." Congress passes a budget, which is LAW, and in there details how much spending will take place, how much revenue will be raised to deal with it, and the difference being borrowed to cover it. The borrowing is set in stone then, a law that can only be changed by a new law. If the debt ceiling isn't raised, borrowing continues unabated, but to compensate the government defaults on old debt.

This show pissed me off with this bullshit, These two should be together, they actually seem compatible and they're both good people. Maggie should have ended up alone, she's "commiting" to one guy and leading another on and sneaking kisses... Maggie was the actual bad guy in this group, closely followed by that guy she's teasing, they're both shitbags, he's leading Maggie's flatmate on, convincing her he's into her while secretly trying to get maggie to break up with this dude.

Don't agree. I think Don would have just said "You are wrong, I do want to commit to Maggie", Sloan would have said "that is what a good guy would do", and Sloan would have walked out.

@thomas evans, same sentiment. the jim part was just to show jim's one-sided crush on maggie. making it an incredibly awkward pot. hilarious

..."because you never asked me out". What's the point on being in a relationship with a girl that aint brave enough to take responsibility for her feelings?

@ 2:59 ................. Don Keefer: "Why are you single?" Sloan Sabbith: "A lot of men are intimidated by my intelligence." Don Keefer: "No, seriously?" nudist0885: "What, that's what makes me love a woman the most". If her intelligence terrifies me I'm hooked..................... +Str8Murder under the same logic your rebuttal is even more redundant and pointless, a tacked on 5th wheel just to be involved.
