Shhhhh when you've tried not to be so emotional to give all your best support to Sweetheart Jabier at his last competition but Olympic Channel just diesnt have any mercy for ur poor heart, mind and soul.... Ya lloré el día que escuché en la entrevista que se retiraba...pero ahora que ha empezado el campeonato europeo hoy, y que estoy ya es una realidad.... Simplemente aún no lo asimilo ;-;. El mundo del patinaje artístico, y el deporte pierde en el ámbito competitivo tras esta compeonato a una estrella, a un inspirador de sueños, a una esperanza, pero ante todo a un enorme ejemplo tanto como deportista como ser humano. As an Spanish roller Figure skater, Javi is one of my main inspirations and the perfect example that anything can be achieved even with the lack of popularity that this sport has here.

Every time I see any performance video featuring Javier I feel sad that they are past performances. I hope that his exhibitions are posted so that we can continue to see this beautiful and gifted man continue to demonstrate his phenomenal athletic prowess on the ice! EVERYTHING worthwhile and grand about figure skating has been embellished for having witnessed the presence and contributions of Javier Fernandez. Brian Orser is a far better coach for having dealt with the strength, tenacity, and will of Javier Fernandez!

For those who don't understand, I'm Spanish and the fact that Brian defines him as "Spanish" makes absolute sense, I've been told that many times. Our character stands out a lot in other countries, and it's weird to be told by foreigners "oh you're so Spanish blablabla" until you're outside of Spain and you see why 😂
