My family and cultural heritage is so strong that no matter how hard I try, I will never be able to change or assimilate enough to be part of the community I feel excluded from. The spoken word piece in this song is actually a description of a racially motivated assault I experienced as a 14 year old. It's spoken in Danish and we think that gives the track a more honest and vulnerable dimension, which together with the music video, hopefully incite some thoughts in people. The video is partly a comment on people having to see through race and take the music at face value, without basing it on anything else."

Shades of urban fusion bands like Candiria, hints of Loathe, little bit of Deafheaven here or there. I checked out your other 2 songs after this and I appreciate the hell out of a band who's decided to make something different. The kind of thing that, on paper, people would say "this can't work." But then in execution, it not only works but it's damn good.

I discovered this band recently looking for some new music, I'm currently listening to a lot of while she sleeps but sadly they let me down a bit for the first time with their newest album, I also grew up with Nu metal bands like Linkin Park, and Gradience reminds me a bit of those bands, but with a new and fresh air,such unique, they have a lot of potential. The mix is so dynamic. I switched to a pair of open ear Audio Technicas and the panning and depth of field here is just incredible. The chorus is even bigger now 🤯

I'm sick of hand holding culture, catering to a lower intelligence because some people think the computer they hold 6 inches from their face 22 hours a day isn't enough information, or learning just isn't cool.
