Heilung

4 жыл бұрын

Heilung is Amplified History from early medieval northern Europe and should not be mistaken for a modern political or religious statement of any kind.
Remember, that we all are brothers
All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind
We all descend from the one great being
That was always there
Before people lived and named it
Before the first seed sprouted

I am afflicted with PTSD from multiple tours to Iraq and Heilung's music, for some reason, just puts me at complete ease. I have a hill on my property that I just go and sit or lay in the grass with their music playing in my ears and my eyes closed. I feel as if I am lifted and transported to another realm. When I awake, I feel like an entirely different person. Relaxed, and at peace. However, short lived it might be, it's long enough. Thank you Heilung for your masterful work. I hope one day I am fortunate enough to see you perform in person.

PTSD Iraq Vet here, same boat. Their music brings a surreal peace upon me.. their upbeat songs inspire courage and strength.. takes me back to the origins of what we are as humans. Strip away all of the nonsense we have been programmed with and replace it with raw emotion, spirit, power - lifting your spirit up and taking strength. My only problem is it's like I am transported to my roots and I feel it, I want it, I experience it with my senses... then I awake in this fresh hell that is the rat race where money determines your freedom and justice is corrupted into some bloody and broken construct - like Nietzsche said... God is dead and we killed him - he meant we killed our Gods (our moral constructs) and we were headed for doom through nihilism and the void death of the universe. It used to be greedy lords and kings and thanes would only impact a small area of the planet - now they corrupt us all. I can't escape this hell.

I am 75 years old. 60 years ago, as a teenager, I taught myself runes out of our family encyclopedia. Learned of the Norse gods on my own, always reveled in nature and Earth connection. Came to love the mythic operas of Richard Wagner, and later on discovered the musical re-creations of Sequentia. Now I am seeing this stuff everywhere, and it's like coming home. Like I've been looking for this all along. I don't know the nature of my connection to it, but it runs deep.

A red cardinal, a breeze during thoughts of , or grieving for them. My son died in his residential group home from sleep apnea , whom I pleaded with to address his needs. Poor kid suffered from auditory hallucinations and spectrum disorders. I miss his home visits , his daily calls and we were trying to get him closer to me where I could pick him up during the day, keep him occupied and productive. I'm finding myself back in church.

The common parlance is that Native Americans originated from Asia by crossing the Bering Straight- but no- at least a quarter of Native American (imo more than a quarter), particularly those on the east coast, have genes originating from Northern Europe. Look it up.

as an Irish/Norwegian living in Australia, It REALLY is so refreshing to see the celebration of Northern European culture. As a child I was OBSESSED with non-classical mythology, especially Assyrian an Meso American…. These days it feels like European culture is taken for granted and even despised… it’s sad, and artistic expression like this gives me hope when raising my son to celebrate his heritage.

Hello BlackSun. Your words lift up my heart. I'm Danish. My Mum was from Denmark. She came to California in 1936 to escape Hitler's wrath. Way down in history back my ancestors made shore in your land but on the eastern coast up north. My Viking ancestor people called your people the Scraelings. (Scandinavian language for Natives of the Land.) In any event, I find it awesome that both our people have so much in common together than otherwise. This makes me happy. It gives me peace. It's the way it should be. Bless you and the Iroquois of the first nations in Canada. Bless all the natives of the land. In the video, the people hold antlers of reindeer. The reindeer in Scandinavia had a sacred effect similar to the buffalo in Native Northern America. Please remain well and at peace. Very sincerely and respectfully, Mark

Whenether its as a part of asatru, or other spiritual movements - Scandinavian reconstructive shamanism borrows heavily from indigenous tribes of the north where gaps needs to be filled. Something that is probably in line with the cultural exchange that evidently was between the north germanic tribes and the Sami people. Also, late germanic iron age spirituality was not only influenced by the roman empire - but also, and heavily, by the Huns. And if you go deeper down, the cultural exhange and trade of the bronze age influenced the spirituality of the bronze age scandinavians. the tree of Scandinavian spirituality stood firm in the north, but it was always rooted in the world.

I've always had a strong fascination with Animism and connection to nature. As a kid I loved being outside and exploring my grandparents land (mountainous area in N. California). The idea that ancient people's walked there was intoxicating. I've always wanted to have my own little Pow Wows, out there. Fast forward 35+ yrs and the hustle of modern life has really poisoned my mind. Because my mind was poisoned, my body was subsequently damaged. About 2018 I was trying to find natural ways to start the healing process. I discovered P. Cubensis mushrooms and micro dosing. Literally days before my first harvest, Lifa popped up on my recommended. Here I am today. Calling folks I've never met, Brother and Sister and meaning it, with every fiber. Planning my own Blots and rituals. I've never felt more right, in my intire life. Peace and love to you all.

They destroyed our culture and our roots. It's very touching for me to see my favorite band come in my place and help with their music to rebuild our spirituality in this place. Thank you so much Heilung.

Well said. Just as the nightengale can only sing after hearing another nightengale sing, humans lose touch with their divine nature and need to hear music to unlock it. At least that's what happened with me. Now I hear the echoes of Heilung's music and see god everywhere. And there are many other kinds of powerful traditional music. Heilung just seems to get right to a main spiritual vein.

Shamanic tradition across disconnected cultures in Northern Hemisphere are remarkably similar. Shamans of Crow, Huron, Chippewa 1st Nations are similar to shamans in Siberia, and runestone cultures of Europe. This may be as result of natural selection, making shamanism as real 'true' religion derived from human traits and laws of nature. Or shamanism is an inheritor of now lost worldwide culture. Or both. Pre-Columbian Northeast American tribes and Lakota nations have many similarities to pre-Christian Pictish and Celtic tribes of Ireland, Scotland, Britain, and Northern Europe. With few exceptions. Specifically the horse, wheel, bovine cattle, and metal. There were no horses in Americas since Americas were colonised by humans around 15,000 B.C. Horse was reintroduced to Americas by Europeans in 16th Century A.D. Actually there were no large beasts of burden among Pre-Columbian Americans. No horse meant no need for cart and wheel. Nor bronze and iron metallurgy was in use in Americas. There is some evidence for low level , low quantity, bronze making in meso-Americas. Aside from gold and silver use by Meso-America in Central and South Americas, by Olmec , Inca, Maya, and Aztec cultures , no bronze or iron was used. But those cultures had absolute mastery over lithic technology. Stone and minerals. Obsidian ultrasharp blades, for industry and weapons. Ethnopharmacology was very high. Higher then it is today. Shamans were doctors of their time, and they knew which plants and animal extracts could be used for healing, and for prevention. They also knew which plants and fungi, and animals had sacred properties. On darker side they knew which plants were poisonous, which animals were toxic.

The Celtic Britons chiefs came together to use all their gold to buy the anglo-saxon mercenaries who just came and took advantage and killed off the chiefs and stole power for themselves and forced locals to change their language which is known as ye old English which was later changed again by the conquest of normans who did the same as them, to them.

If your religion is wiped off the face of the earth, it's a pretty good indicator that it was complete bullshit.
