The chemistry between Ausar & Cade will be special. Both have high IQ and getting Sasser was a steal IMO. Dude will outscore the other team’s bench a lot. Cade,Ivey,Ausar,Duren on a fastbreak is cinema Sasser’s offense reminds me of Cam Thomas from the nets. Defense is like davion Mitchell

It is possible that a player who failed high school or high school will go to the Draft to finish high school in this case to finish the twelfth year. Because as he failed, he lost a year so he would go to college As for example, a player in the 2023 class of the 2024 Draft would not go to college like the other player players in 2023 because he failed would still be finishing his last year in Highschool.

Idk I disagree, Sharpe is good & he’s young but idk if he’ll ever be a high-end creator with his handle & pull-up game, whereas I really see Scoot being that guy. A- for the Mavs???? They went into the draft with only the 10th pick and came out with two top-25 guys that address their needs perfectly AND they got rid of Bertans while getting Richaun Holmes and possibly accessing a MLE. Probably the second best team in the draft after the Rockets.

What do you mean if the picks flip up lol... JHS is better than Lewis. And I don't think it was a reach either, most scouts have JHS a lottery grade, the lowest I saw him is at 19 with the warriors yet the consensus have him lottery to slightly post lottery value. 13-18 range. And Lewis was consistently in the 20's range. I know Lewis is flashy but JHS can contribute more to winning as even he's not scoring, he can provide Playmaking, defense and has a good feel, can't say the sameon Lewis. Overall I think Lakers nailed the draft, Castleton and Hodge also good value for UDFA.
@JBHOOPS100
@JBHOOPS100 Жыл бұрын
I agree the Lakers Night was solid, the UDFA pickups were elite & Max was a steal. But I just don’t see it with JHS tbh. Shaky decision-making, inconsistent D, very streaky shooter/ shotmaker & doesn’t pressure the rim. Would’ve taken him in the late 1st but 17 was a bit of a reach imo. But if they really wanted him I get it.

I don’t get how someone could scout Miller’s game and think he’s a bad pick. Good shooter, 6’9 wing and 2 guard. Good defender, good second option ball handler, not the best finisher but he was getting the ball in the paint at the college level, even blowing by great wing defenders at his height, and he’s also a willing passer, and seems very mature. To me he was the clear second pick! Maybe he settles for 3’s a lot, and isn’t super athletic, but that’s the only knock.
@JBHOOPS100
@JBHOOPS100 Жыл бұрын
He’s a good player & had a great freshman szn. But if you actually watch the tape you’ll see he wasn’t beating defenders consistently at all & had real struggles finishing & creating any sort of seperation in the H/C without a screen/ prior movement. The pick itself wasn’t bad but I’m just super high on Scoot as a legit star creator. & with Millers lack of strength/ burst/ finishing I don’t see him being more than a 3rd or maybe 2nd guy on a serious team.
@wooskionehundred1788

@@JBHOOPS100 College is more half court zone oriented, and most of the games I watched he was beating defenders and made the right play most of the times, sometimes they’ll recover and block his shots due to his athleticism. He have the highest basketball iq out of any of the lottery guys. Scoot have a few red flags as well, he’s not a great shooter, takes bad shots, and not really a good finisher. The final stretch of the season his shooting percentage was bad.

C- for Hornets???? Are you going off of sentiments or are you going off of basketball statistical data. If the former, you get an F++. If the latter, then I give you a C-. Miller is the best college basketball player. Period. The data is there to prove it. What data do you have on Scoot to prove otherwise? I'll wait. Scoot can't shoot (27% from 3). Miller 40% from 3. Scoot is a turnover machine. Scoot has injury history (prematurely shut down his G league Ignite season on account of that). Scoot is 6'2" Miller is 6'9". Scoot is not a good defender. Miller is borderline elite. The other picks are across the board by CBS Sports, ESPN, etc rate the Hornets draft somewhere between an A- to an A+ But you grade this a C-. Okay.

Ight can’t really be fucked explaining it all if you really think Millers a better prospect than Scoot whatever but rq Scoot is 6’4/ 6’10 Wingspan, shot 32.4% from 3 in full sample, although very limited. 2:1 A:TO in terrible spacing. Scoot is not bad defensively, he had both good & bad moments but had a huge offensive load, Miller is nowhere near elite, Scoot & engine, hit almost 50% of his OTD 2’s & has good touch, Miller shot below 40% on H/C layups, struggles to seperate & doesn’t have the strength or burst to consistently create advantages. “I would of preferred if JHS and Lewis” is a horrid take. JHS ceiling is Deron Williams his floor is a little worse Malcom Brogdon but better defender. Very few freshman ever average 14 4 4. His pacing & feel for the game is elite. Go watch his 35 point game at #1 seed Purdue. One of the best games by any college player all year nevermind freshman. Him and TJD the only good players on the team and helped them become top10-25 all year! I do agree TJD falling to late 2nd made zero sense. My Pacers not taking him at 47/55 made zero sense. I thought Nuggets should of taken him 37 for that matter before that. JHS gonna have you eating crow. He was top10-20 on most people’s Big Boards for a reason and was mocked 12-16 too. JHS or Whitmore was the obvious pick at 17. GG Jackson at 11 on big board is 🤣.
@rlmalonzo1184
@rlmalonzo1184 Жыл бұрын
This is the exact same thing I said lmaooo Lewis is raw actually but has huge potential, but JHS can contribute in a lot of ways and alsp higher ceiling. He's just not as flashy tbh but a solid prospect overall. Box and One, The athletic and no ceilings have JHS in the lottery. And yeah, Brandon Miller outside of the top 5 and GG Jackson at 11 in a big board is a nasty work.
@JBHOOPS100
@JBHOOPS100 Жыл бұрын
JHS is cool, I just think 17 was a bit of a reach & taking him over some other guys left on the board was odd. He had great Games but he also had some terrible moments. Defensively was very inconsistent, the decision making is shaky, doesn’t get to the rim in the H/C & isn’t a good enough shooter for his shot-Diet. I do my own scouting so I get I might be against the consensus but I have reasons. I’m not confident he contributes straight away. Lewis also has issues defensively but offensively he’s clear imo. & GG is just a fun upside swing, yes there are issues but he played on one of the worst teams in CBB as a 17 yo with a ridiculous load. Flashes on both ends were super intriguing.

@@JBHOOPS100 Hoosiers outside of JHS & TJD were horrid yet they were top10-25 all year bc of them & JHS was the main new player from year prior when they weren’t nearly as good. I look at eye test and stroke over results and JHS form is beautiful. He was also 19 years old. Many players become better (in college or pros) after freshman year. I watched every IU game this year and JHS usually when he missed was in and out or just a tad short. Very few 6’6” 215 lb guards with his pace/skill/smoothness flop especially when they’re 14 4 4 as freshman. I agree off ball not the best fit with lakers but most ppl there had JHS or Whitmore number 1 remaining on their boards for a reason.

Even if I’m not 100% correct atleast I put thought & have reasons to backup my takes. Scoot is special. 6’4/ 6’10 wingspan, elite athlete & playmaker, shot close to 50% on OTD 2’s, 32.4% on 3’s, all against LEGIT PRO’s at 17-19 yo. Miller will be very good but had significant exploitable weaknesses. Struggles to get to & finish at the rim in the H/C (like 37% on h/c layups is terrible), defensively he’s solid, but not great like you said, the passing is really cool & the shooting is great but he also had some wildly bad games against comp which will only get harder & better physically & athletically at the next lvl.
