This is great! Can’t wait to listen. Before I give it a listen…..his winning percentage is .299 so I would expect some pretty terrible grades.

Hey, an idea. Rate each position group by 2025 Draft Priority. Green - Rd 1&2 Yellow - Rd 3&4 Red - Rds 567 Example - cannot IMAGINE drafting an RB in 2025 anything higher than Rd 5, if at all, so RB is RED. QB would be GREEN for me - even if JT is awesome, you’d assume that means he’s backup acceptable, and gives you the flexibility to trade Tyrod and draft a QB in Rd 1 or 2.

He's had some great signings and some bad ones. I think the good outweighs the bad to this point, although his biggest fumble was not signing a backup last season.

I don't get why you slight Jeremy Ruckert every time you build up Tyler Conklin. Ruckert had less drops than Conklin, check your stats.
@TheBuffaloJetFan

Over the last 20 games conk has 1 and Ruck has 2 per PFF. It's just a reference point showing how impressive that is given conk is a starter and Ruck is a backup
@RealisticJetsFan
@RealisticJetsFan 2 ай бұрын
Ruckert to Conk is apples and Oranges. Ruckert has 17 receptions in his career! Conklin has 212 for his career and 119 as a Jet. Asking BJF to check stats on drops when one player has over 100 more receptions? Embarrassing you bring that up. Nobody has any idea what kind of player Ruckert is or will be. We won't know anymore this season if you look at AR's usage of the TE position. For this team it's best to have a good blocking TE that is good in the redzone.

Agree with BJf's Busts with Hardman, Cook, CJ, Lazzard, Lanken...Problem is that most of his disappointments should be busts as well. Corey Davis was paid as a number one at the time. He came with a PFF grade of 87 which is pro bowl caliber and gave the Jets a 66 and 69 and then quit on the team in the 3rd year. Went from pro bowl to a back-up. That's a BUST. Carl Lawson went from solid starter with Cincy at a PFF of 76 to the jets where he played like a back-up with a PFF of 60 and 66. That's a BUST. Duane Brown went from a 71.5 PFF to a 47.9 and 57.8. He literally went from a low level starter to some one that should have been cut. That's a BUST. Last is Braxton Berrios. BJF gives credit to players who play the full season which Berrios did. His role diminished in the passing game and we was not as good at special teams. I have a positive bias towards this player so I'll agree at Disappointment. Here are the players BJF has as Fine- Conner McGovern, Alex Lewis, Sheldon Rankins, Jordan Whitehead, Poole, Perrimen, and Cole. Poole played 2019 with the Jets at a PFF of 79. This is actually more of a hit than fine for the price. In 2020 before going onto IR his PFF was 77. McGovern PFF 61,68, 52, 58- 2 years of a player who should be a back-up and 2 years of a plyer who should be cut. Not a Fine. Alex Lewis- His one season with the Jets was at a PFF of 56. That's a replaceable player and not a "Fine". Sheldon Rankins- went from a 46 to a 73 in his two years. Certainly improved which makes it odd why he was not kept. Agree on the "Fine". Jordan Whitehead- 66 and 68 basically a good back-up. I'll lean toward fine. The fact he's still a free agent though makes it arguable he's a disappointment. Perrimen and Cole fall into the same category. These are simply low level WR's that Joe Douglas thought could replace Robby Anderson. Both are Busts and the numbers agree- Perrimen came in at a 73 and regressed to a 63. Cole came in as a 64 and played as a 61. both terrible signings. Both Busts. Joe Douglas himself admitted so. Anderson last year as a Jet was a PFF of 75.1. We took a solid starter and replaced it with 2 players who hover between backup and being cut. Thanks again BJF for doing the exercise. Obviously subjective and makes for great constructive conversation. People who believe in Joe Douglas will sway the vote his way and vice versa. I hope we can last the entire season and get a playoff spot. We all deserve a productive season. RJF

I think Joe Douglas is a Bust. The player evaluations will prove it, but skip to the record and that seals the deal. It's about drafting the "right" players to fill the team and getting a coach suited well for those players. He's failed miserably. Beyond failing he comes across as a complete asshole. Saleh at least comes across as a gentlemen. Douglas double and tripled down on Zach Wilson. That alone set this franchise back a few years. AR was not some genius move on his part. The timing was that GB could not wait to get rid of him and they found one team desperate for a QB that could take on his salary. This is now a one year bet with a 41 year old QB coming off AVL with a 31 year old LT that has not played a full season in a decade, a RT who is over 30 and a guard who has missed the last two seasons.

I had to stop at Conklin being a hit. He has 3 td’s total with the jets. Making this worse is Douglas gave 55 million to him and Uzomah in the offseason and then at the draft took Ruckert in the 3rd round. This is not a HIT my friend. I realize the line and the QB, which are also created by JD, but no TD’s last year and 3 in 2022 is not a Hit. Also the logic of spend makes sense to a point. But if you sign average players to average money and they produce average it’s not a hit. Also, you can’t compare the amount of a bust Tomlinson is s bust and to say Corey Davis is not as bad so Davis is just a disappointment They are both Busts. Tomlinson is a bigger bust, but both are busts. At the time Davis was paid like a number one. Corey Davis had 6 tds and 66 receptions in two seasons and then quit. George Fant a hit? You said it yourself that he was good 1 of 3 years ago. Connor McGovern is not fine. He was on IR twice in his three seasons. Not a bust maybe, but certainly a disappointment. Anyway, thanks for going through this and I’ll listen to the rest

What does uzomah have to do with conk? Lol learn ball if you think Conk wasn't a solid signing
@RealisticJetsFan
@RealisticJetsFan 2 ай бұрын
@@TheBuffaloJetFan ok….lets not go the route of “learning ball”. I began this by thanking you for doing this. Anyway, JD in the offseason spent major dollars on two TE and then took one in the draft. Overall stupidity, but if you want to discount that OK. You just placed a “hit” on a guy who has 3 touchdowns in two years!!! And I gotta learn ball?? Now, I hear the train coming…the BJF JD excuse train that is. Bad OL, bad QB and if he had this or that etc. That is all true, but not relevant. A player is not a HIT when they have zero touchdowns one season and three the other.

Conklin has performed functionally on par with how he did in Minnesota, And this is downgrading from Kirk Cousins to Zach Wilson and backups. He's been our second most productive receiver over two seasons. That's why Conk is solid. Despite a demonstrably worse QB situation, and worse offensive play calling, he's still able to make his presence felt.
@jameseubanks3477
@jameseubanks3477 2 ай бұрын
This is keeping in mind, amongst Tight Ends, Conklin has been top 15 yards wise. It's very hard to call that a bust when he both hasn't become worse/a major liability in his games, and has been afflicted by bad play calls and red zone calls. (He did drop a TD in the Chiefs game. But the Jets have had horrific red zone play calls on the last two years)
@RealisticJetsFan

@@jameseubanks3477 I don’t disagree with anything you wrote. That said, he’s not a hit. He was a disappointment with Minn and has been the same here. He might become a hit with AR, but as we sit here today and look at the performance it’s at best a disappointment.

Lazard is trending towards bust🤣🤣 cmon bjf do better
@RealisticJetsFan
@RealisticJetsFan 2 ай бұрын
The one area where I can stomach the "trending" part is...IF AR has a great year and the Jets are relevant the entire season and actually earn a playoff game and it's mainly due to AR.....then we have to agree that in order to get AR we needed to bring Hackett, Boyle, Cook, and Lazard. If it takes having a bust of Lazard to get a really good year from AR then one has to reassess. As of this moment there is no denying that Lazard is a BUST
