The Internet is full of golf driver shaft reviews by professional club fitters, PGA professionals, and qualified golf coaches. What you don't get to see all that often is how an aftermarket shaft will affect the results for somebody with an average swing. I began the D-Fit Squad to help educate average golfers about the benefits of being casually Fit for your Driver.
In this series of videos you will get to see totally average golfers, and in some cases total Beginners swing aftermarket shafts in their off the rack drivers. In this particular video I test the Grafalloy ProLaunch Red 65 Stiff in a Ping G400 Max head playing at 44 inches in length. As you will see in the video my results are good but laboursome to achieve. Compared to my Seasonal averages the Grafalloy ProLaunch Red is an upgrade. It isn't the absolute best shaft Fit for me, but at only $60 from Golf Town. It is a shaft I would have easily considered gaming. Video was shot at Tracer Golf in Toronto using their Impact Vision Golf simulators.

i think my swing speed is about the same as yours, what would you recommend out of the three shafts they offer. i was looking at the blue or plat in stiff.

The Blue has the most kick. It's a fun shaft to swing. I haven't tried the Platinum but the profile is very similar to a lot of Stock shafts.

Ball speed should be higher for 100mph swing. Ball flights seem to show push/slice... It's not the shaft causing the high launch and spin It's your swing!

Oh for sure. Have really worked on reducing the amount of Right to Left ball flight. Not quite there yet. Tip Stiff shafts seem to help ball flight but at a reduction of Smash Factor. Unfortunately consistent practice hasn't been possible lately.

@@WhyWeBuyIt Your issue is your swing it is a one plane slapping action which will only ever produce sub 250 yard shots. Work on a two plane high hands at the top swing and you can generate a ton more power. Last time I played I carried a greenside bunker 320 yards it works!

@@zarlodious1 My swing has improved a lot since this video. Unfortunately I have been dealing with injuries so I haven't been able to take full advantage of it. Currently I am dealing with a torn achilles tendon.
