I’m so glad I watched this, I have my American beauty and since I’ve heard it’s self fertile, I hand pollinated with its own pollen. It was its first bloom and the fruit is aborting at this point, which I figured would. Now I know even though they say it’s self fertile, cross pollinating will produce a higher quality fruit.

Have you tried to cross pollinate the Israel flower to see if it makes the fruit taste better? I saw a video a year or 2 ago of a guy taking a tour of a dragon fruit farm in Vietnam and they did a taste testing of 2 yellow fruits that I believe was Israel and they said that the cross pollinated one tasted a lot better then the one that was self pollinated. I just had my first flowers this year and I was wondering if all the dragon fruit flowers smell the same? I only had 2 flowers but you can smell the flowers 2-3 houses away. Also, how can I get a cutting of A-5 fire? I don’t have Facebook or any other social media accounts.
