I saw them there too. Incredible show! I think it was more like mid to late seventies though.

Totally tight version of this song. The Rumour were awesome, and Graham Parker drove the energy up. Unbelievable music.

Good old fashioned pub rock. Man, what a band and Graham an excellent song writer. My first bootleg ever bought was Graham Parker and the Rumour as I was too young to go to gigs.

First saw GP back in the 70's at the old Glasgow Apollo. Support was Southside Johnny And The Asbury Dukes. Still one of the best gigs I ever saw.

In 1976/77 Parker and band mates the Rumour sparked interest in the Punk wave due to it’s musicianship, energy and great songs by Parker himself. A kind of leading cross over act between the raw Punk DIY acts and the established (often boring) Rock acts at that moment. Together with the fabulous retro R&R act Rockpile and the Blues inspired Dr. Feelgood, these acts deserve much more recognition in hindsight. Without these three acts Punk/New Wave might have looked different.

Saw them live at the Auckland Town Hall, NZ, circa 1975. First live concert. Brilliant!

I was there too, although I think it was 1978 - no matter. Amazing concert!! Having Citizen Band (kiwi group with a couple of former Split Enz members) open for them sure helped to warm up the audience too.

First time I saw Graham Parker and the Rumour was Montreal Forum, 1979, opening for Cheap Trick. This song was easily the highlight of the whole concert, both bands.

Back then he usually finished his show with this song. I saw him at Milwaukee in 1976 with Climax Blues Band and Lynyrd Skynrd. He was the opening act and played a great 45 min show.He also did Lady Doctor and Soul On Ice...I remember those songs the best.

First seen em 76 in Bradford, seen them a couple of years ago too in Holmfirth . Still great as it happens . Seen Elvis a couple of weeks ago in Newcastle , very good but honestly not a patch on GP and the Rumour , E Street Band and that geezer who sings with them might just give them a run for their money , on a good night that is .

Locate his 1977 version, much faster, more agression, this is the geriatric version, good but not brilliant
