For the seniors; if you check your TSC may also have a seniors day once a month and give 20% off. The one near me does. Even so the Farmers Co-op is cheaper to buy most food from in my area. Every area is different though. But as usual Frank is right, we don't have to pay the highest prices to get good quality food.

The price for a 10 kg 22 pound sack of pellets last yr was 17 dollars now it's near 25 dollars I have 18 pigeons and it lasts them 2 months.

Where I live they grow maize so my birds do have a free feed at times the chicken pellets do make the hens lay eggs though!.

I use the same deer corn as an additive in my feed, been doing a 1/1 of my feed with the deer corn to save on cost.

Interesting. This is basically the same feeding regime that the late Charlie Hubbs used for his Rollers. Charlie started breeding in 1927 and continued until his death in about 2005. Instead of mixing whole corn with pellets, he offered the pellets free choice in a permanent feeder and fed the whole corn once daily.

Wow, that is going to help a lot of people so I thank you I even though I don't have pigeons. We do however feed a feel hen and have tried to feed her a feed that has a bunch of different stuff in it, bit she won't touch the corn. We have her on a layers pellet and O don't think she is happy about that either but she does show up most days when we feed the horses. I think that the plethora of stray kittens eat most of it. Just cannot feed 15 wild kittens right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated if you know anything about chickens. When I first had these horses dumped on me a guy helped me out by showing me how to mix different grains to save money on horse feed. People really need all the help they can get right now, so again, thank you and may blessing rain on you from our beloved Creator- YHWH.
