These are only show (Fancy) Grama phones. Sound quality is very poor.

I have one in Suriname,i bought one during a India trade fair in Suriname ,South America...the Quality is very very poor and it will demage you shellac 78 rpm record.

They dont make the motors. They put in motors from vintage portable gramophones.

@@rocketaroo Though the more recent ones appear to be new made Thorens style ones. At least mine is and it looks just like this base unit. I have to admit it's unclear in this video if it's an old or new motor. Presumably though there must be a factory making motors and other parts. This video is like several other similar ones I have seen which show the final assembly only.

These are not made to original factory specifications the tonearm is usually too short.

You are correct! And because the tonearm is too short it will not track properly and cause extreme record wear! These models are better known as "crapophones"!!!
