@@hatersbby yeah i noticed. i really like what youre doing here man, the ai was always the biggest problem of this game. my question is, to create new splines, do you just change the ai parameters, or like drive them yourself and somehow apply them to the ai?

@@titicaca. the former as the latter is impossible. what i do first is thinking how i would drive and take the corners then make the parameters similar to it. thanks

@@hatersbby it's interesting that the AI can go faster than the possible WR, that means they have built in grip modifiers that aren't accessible to the player

@@lizzie556 on sarthe the ai's top speed is around 330-340kmh while the player can reach 375 (without tow). the racing line is also bad thats why a good player passes the mission in 2 laps. i changed those and the ai's pace is 10s faster than WR because it starts far too ahead. its like roughly 30s , i can catch 20s in 3 laps on hard ai i dont exactly remember

@@hatersbby ah so it's 10sec faster than the mission 18 WR not faster than the Sarthe Lap record with a Sauber. Probably detuning Sauber or changing the gear ratio to a max of 340 could do it.

idk exactly some random bytes but they change behavior drastically

a good player takes those lines so i remove the unfair advantage of the player

Have you ever heard of track limits IRL? · Dunlop chicane = car fully off the racing surface on the 1st part, barely legal on the 2nd part · Tetre rouge = car fully off the racing surface on the approach, legal on the exit · Both Hunadieres chicanes = car fully off on the 2nd corner · Ford chicane #1 = car fully off on the 2nd part · Ford chicane #2 = car fully off on both parts It's absurdly illegal, all of it. Have you ever watched any real racing at all?

@@DiegoRuiz1991 i used to be a high level simracer. in gt4 there are no penalties for those parts of the track and i cant penalize the players using it because they included it in track limits. if i could, i would but i cant so the only way to bring the AI to a player is to make them abuse as well. i know the rules of professional racing really good but thats something i cant implement to a 20 year old game. if you saw me discussing in discord servers you could see me advocating licence fails in races so it would immediately reset your race but i cant man.
