If only the Sports Truck Race wasn’t part of the main progression… IMO it should be an American regional championship instead when the Spec II Mod is released!

GT4 is a statement to how well thought out a game can be. One make races are rare outside the GT series yet it brings so much depth and makes use of the nuggets you otherwise wouldn't use. (asides from 25 versions of miata & rx7 available.) As always, another great challenge to enjoy.

Regarding boot (trunk) spoilers on FWD or slower cars, they're not for producing downforce like a wing, they're to shape the airflow - often either reducing drag to increase economy/speed but more often just to shape the airflow over the rear window. My old Impreza had a small wing on the boot and all it did was make the airflow cleaner so the rear window cleared of water by itself without needing a wiper. My friend removed his spoiler and this effect stopped, and there was a lot of turbulence on his rear window. So that's what the spoilers are for - giving the airflow a clean break from the rear of the car to prevent turbulence.

I've done a run similar to this and the special events saved my ass more than once, I did get a sport truck pretty early on however so I didn't expect you to struggle but I realized how little there are compared to how many other cars there are in this game.

It sucks that you weren't able to win a truck in this playthrough, it was the main reason this run stopped dead in its tracks but watching this live with all the weird and wacky cars you got was pretty interesting overall. I'd say the highlight was the Motorwagen, a car that none of us expected lol. This was fun to watch through! Great video as always!

ford KA is an absolute menace in the hands of a driver who is crazy enough to push it to the limit.

I think the randomizer mod needs to exclude useless cars like Model T, Nike One, and Motor Wagons since those are all useless display cars. Also, make the SUVs eligible for the truck race, damnit!

Amazing video as always, it was very interesting to see how you could go from a LMP to a Patent Motorwagen in a few races. So, idk if anyone has ever done this type of challenge, but why don't you try a Gran Turismo run where you can only use (for example), green cars only? Could be fun. *When i say green cars, i mean cars that are currently green, example: If you get a blue Griffith 500, you can't use it. But, if you get a green one, it's ok.

Those Ka races were hilarious! As for the Speedster event, I find it's not too hard with the right setup. The NA Speedster is superior, a GT wing and racing tires even the odds between you and the AI. You don't even need a turbo kit, with stage 3 NA it should be enough.

I'm very late to the Gran Turismo 4 party and trying to get through the licences has been the biggest asshole ever! The driver assists just slow you down and the pace driver on the Nurburgring with the Merc slows down too much. How people get gold is beyond me. Is there a way to turn the driver assists off in the licences?
