My first game is GT7 with PS5. Before that, I played Forza Motorsport until 7. But I also research, observe, and learn of What Gran Turismo is all about from Wikipedia through their Wikia. So the answer I got is "The Love for Automobiles and being Inclusive to all" but really GT's is all about "From The bottom to the top right" (Where you started from the down to earth everyday's consumer to Performance Oriented to Race Cars) and it's not like ACC or iRacing or rFactor where all cars is just in one category, GT is well....that kind of game which Forza Motorsport took inspiration from. So, don't make GT to be like those three games (not Forza), but I hope GT's Simulation and Physics could learn from them and that is also to their economy cars (I mean just what makes them feel realistic and stock in terms of physics lol).

Since Volvo is back in Gran Turismo, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Volvo XC90 is added in the future. Forza added the XC90 in Motorsport 7 and with Kaz mentioning that he wanted more SUVs to return for Gran Turismo, the XC90 wouldn’t be out of the question.

Certainly the most special of the XC90 should be the first gen fitted with a Yamaha engine, the B8444S.

My family had one of these, except ours was a DL instead of an SE and it was blue (I think ours was also roughly 10 years older, despite looking the exact same as this '93 model). My dad had a set of stickers he put on the mirrors later on that were targets for bugs to hit. iirc they came from one of the car magazines we used to be subscribed to. I think he also taped-over a taillight that was busted in a fender bender with red tape. It was a very distinctive example of a Volvo 240 by the time we were done with it.

The Volvo 240 Estate which was very popular with families or an antique dealer that he or she could use to put an double wardrobe in the back. This car was the peoples best friend

I live in sweden and its crazy how cars like this volvo 240 and the other volvos like 740, 940 are being drifted in sweden and yet they survive such great machines

This Volvo represented as a 1988 GLT in the previous GT games, but now it came back as a 1993 SE. A 100% new model of course. If you know the fact, this is the only LHD Volvo in Gran Turismo series since all other Volvos in the game series are all RHD, because PD decided to pick Volvo cars in RHD because they must be available in Japan and in the streets of Tokyo. I personally don’t mind, even if I know already that Volvo is a Swedish brand.

Also, it was done pretty dirty in the previous GT games, as it is WAY heavier than the actual GLT.

@@kevinsomosot9976 So the GLT is slow due to its weight? Shit, uhh okay. I saw it through the GT Wiki and yeah, Lighter cars accelerate faster than heavy ones. At least GT is now in the next-level unlike before.

Well the SE trim is actually analogous to the GLT because Volvo stopped the GLT trim in 1991 and this became to top of the line trim for the 240 until its production run ended. Also they definitely had the same 2.3L engine and same power output, PD is just being conservative with their numbers.

Since both Volvo and Lotus are owned by Geely....There could be a possibility that Lotus might be lurking around the corner 🤔 Although, it's too early to tell and I'm not gonna jump that into conclusions at the moment...

Not guaranteed since they are all individually responsible for their own brands as opposed to relying on the parent company Geely. Volvo deciding to allow their cars inclusion has no bearing on whether Lotus shows up despite both being owned by the same parent company.
