It's a Japanese-spec car, so it has a B5204T9 (2.0 L I5 Turbo, 210 HP) instead of a B5254T12 (2.5 L I5 Turbo, 251 HP).

Ah that explains it. I’d been reading the T5 specs on Wikipedia but the T9 part of the engine code wasn’t listed and I was confused. The Japanese spec T5 is underpowered compared to the Euro model.

5 Cylinders under the hood. This one’s a 2.0L because it’s a Japanese spec model. It originally had a 2.5L. I now want the C30 T5 R-Design return to GT7 because it was only available in the PS3 titles and it has a 2.5 I5.

The 2.4i naturally aspirated version sounds better. I've driven an S40 2.4i, it was slow as fuck but it made one glorious noise

Good car selection in this update. Really like the V40, sounds amazing and drives great to. Worked for a Volvo dealer and the T4 and T5 V40’s are the only models I haven’t driven. Great car, wish I’d bought one.

An S80 with the 4.4 V8 would be cool, bit of a sleeper if you can imagine sticking a supercharger on it too.

I drive a rebel blue V40 D2 IRL. I love they've included this V40 in GT. Volvo have made some criminally underrated cars. Safety with Volvos are a given, everything else is overlooked by others.

I had a V40, 2015/2016, T5 Cross Country. I love this car. Nice addition to the game. Hope we can have more Volvo cars in GT7.

This v40 is great. When it is maximally tuned, the car runs like a machine. Great sound, drives very well. Now the Volvo 850R is still missing and that's it. 🎉

No the audi s1 Quattro is a turbo 5cyl. As for non race car status yes.

@@TBSMLK nope, the MK1 TT it’s either an v6 or 1.8t, only the MK2 and MK3 TT are 5 cylinders, if specced as an RS

Lotus is quite tricky to get around with. I could see brands like Buick, Caterham and Koenigsegg being featured later down the line though.

For those who are miffed about the JDM spec 5 cylinder engine in this V40, there’s a chance that PD will add in the future a Volvo or even a Focus with the standard 2.5 L 5 cylinder engine which would probably be made available to swap into the V40

i suspect most RHD eudm/usdm with metric units (not UK spec) are vehicles owned by the PD team.

It's a shame that the sound of the 5-cylinder engine isn't reproduced This is just a re-recording of past cars to increase the number of cars.

Nope it's correct since its a Japanese spec 210 hp insed of the lhd EU spec 251 hp both are 5cylder turbo
