As much as I really want to agree with this because Relink has been one of my most anticipated games for years now, I don’t think it will be a nominee. With so many other notable JRPGs (Person 3, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Visions of Mana) coming this year, I’m afraid Relink will get completely overlooked/forgotten about 😭. I’ll like your comment anyway because I personally agree with it 👍

It might be my personal game of the year because it's exactly something I've always wanted. A Monster Hunter-style co-op grind which much faster and smoother combat an a huge variety of characters with different play styles. The combat is absolutely fantastic and I'm having a blast. However it has zero chance of getting mainstream recognition. I've seen a lot of reviews that don't even *talk* about the endgame and act like it's just a short single player JRPG. Like, they don't even know that 90% of the game exists...

Man the endgame gameplay loop are amazing, despite lacking a bit in enemy variety department, but overall it’s good enough to keep us hooked for another 100+hrs!

I agree on the enemy variety aspect. I still love the game but I really wish there was a little more enemy variety. Especially when it comes to bosses. Hopefully there are at least a few additions in the future.

Make sure you level up the captain if you plan on playing solo, which you will do anyway unless you have a full group of people for end game. The captain can easily take the role of a tank or a healer when you set them as AI, has mega buffs and debuffs to use as well as you have to have the captain for the story so if you are doing the story again on the ultimate difficulty you will need him/her at max level anyway.

7:35 please wait until after you unlock Proud difficulty as you unlock Transmarvel which is where the goodies are actually at you need to spend 250 Vouchers on Lvl 3 Transmutation to get 150 Points to get 1 roll at the Transmarvel. What Transmarvel offers is Guaranteed V Sigils with V+ you can also get Character Sigils here that can roll their other Unique Sigil as a bonus with good weightstones its the best way to get sigils. Also get Curio Appraised they can give some unique sigils like War Element which basically gives your character Element Weakness to everything but Plain, Glass Cannon gives DMG Cap and ATK but causes Dizzy when getting hit theres other unique sigils here

Any Vouchers you spend prior to unlocking the Transmarvel in Proud still count towards it. I would say to save your knicknack vouchers until you have the level 3 transmutation and spend them on that. I unlocked proud and had 12 uses of the Transmarvel immediately lol

Definitely wait. The reason, is when you want to farm for your favorite characters ultimate weapon, it'll take longer the more characters you have unlocked.

Its a great game. Wish the story was longer and the other characters weren't selectable until after the story was over. Its odd when there is banter between characters that even aren't on your team. But the story levels and the combat is really good. 8/10 is a fair score.

Fate Episodes give the characters 2 Sigil Slots its a must do you can save it for aftee story when you can buy characters at lvl 60 with 50-60% mastery tree done

The game is a ton of fun to play there's just some basic things that I don't see explained openly as this is an arpg. How much stun does an attack that does "increased stun" do? There are values given on the character stats screen for your character but not knowing how much the specific attacks do leaves me confused. One thing I'd like for you to try is a more detailed explanation of each character that isn't only "endgame build" though I know this is a big ask since that's whats most popular. I like a lot of the characters but I'm trying to learn their combat loops and some of them I feel I'm not playing them right. Gran, Lancelot , Rossetta and Vaseraga I click with.

Naz Talgic discovered that transmutation is not RNG, it is fixed and you just have to do a quest to reset it.

you also have the Over mastery Fixed and Curio Appraise so if all we have to do is a Quest to reset what we get than save scumming will be easy

Hi, I'm watching coop gameplay videos and informing myself with your videos of the endgame of this wonderful game before buying it =) I only have one thing that I can't understand.. In the endgame maniac mode you only ever do the bosses or you play them the other game modes too.? Because watching coop gameplay videos everyone does the same bosses over and over again and it seems ok to me, but at a certain point it becomes boring if that's the case, but it would be interesting to play all the game modes to diversify everything..

I just finished the story, but I am confused with the 'end-game'. What is the the end-game for, is this going to be a live-service? I had a good time with the story, but I am surprised, that side-quests are irrelevant, and I finished the game with some basic weapons, and sigils....grinding is not needed whatsover...what would I be grinding for now?

I understand where you're coming from but I do believe there's a raid + 2 new characters coming in March. I'd imagine the Raid at least will require your character to be pretty decked out in the best Sigels, with 100% stat completion. I guess if you aren't interested in raids or stat progression, you can just play the game however you'd like

@lifestream1689 I personally think they should have stretched the atory a bit, made side quests and quests more important to farm materials during the actual story, and made weapons more important. The pacing of the game as a whole doesn't feel well paced. The main story is 15-20 hours, and we are expected to be playing quests for another 80 hours? I think they should have taken inspiration from games like Destiny 2, Elden Ring. A healthy live service paired with an intricate progression system and the necessity of weapon crafting. I enjoy the game, but I feel like they mist the trick here.

This game gets especially fun after clearing the main story. So many extra quests, the ability to play through whichever chapter you please at whichever difficulty you please. The fate episodes, side quests, weapon leveling, sigil leveling, etc. A grinder's dream. I bought the early release edition and started playing the night of the 29th and havent put this game down since. Haven't had a game hook me this deep in a while and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I haven't even cracked in to the online multiplayer yet either. I know its not going to win any game of the year awards but this is easily my game of the year 2024 until Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth drops anyways lol. Oh and before I get all kinds of "wAaAaH tHiS gAmE iS tOo GrInDy 😭" replies, save em. Don't waste your time crying like a baby while typing them out. Grinding has always been fun to me and countless others so if you dont like it go find somerhing different to play.

there are 2 look under the weapons name for Ascension Weapon the last 1 is a RNG Drop off the last Proud Quest. You have to get the weapons to lvl 150 before you can ascend them

New everything: new attacks, more HP, more damage, different fight mechanics, different resistances etc... If you played MH it's similar to fighting the Master Rank version of monsters that have alternate colors or designs. They may look similar to their early game bosses but they play completely different

First dragon is at Very Hard quest level, I believe it's the gate-way quest for the difficulty. There will be elemental dragons later on (Extreme, iirc) for the specific colors of scales (blue/brown/green/red). A good tip is to wishlist an item you can't find, then search for quests that reward the wishlisted item. If that turns up nothing, it's probably tied to a quest you don't have yet and you just need to progress further.

once you finish Rolans Quest it unlocks but just do maniac for Sigils until after Proud Difficulty since theres Transmarvel after lvl 3 Transmutation which is better

Matchmaking and the servers in general is pretty buggy atm, I've gotten into tons of matches but sometimes it would kick me all the way out of online mode and have me stuck on a loading screen, I'd have to restart just for it to do it again sometimes, it sucks but it's fixable..

Survival mode Used the ship one for most of the game And once I had a nice enough dmg output I’ve changed to slime one Usually I make 1.7k mastery points per run

its about 6-8 hours skipping everything rushing story, 10-15 hours watching and reading story. Add about 2-5 hours base on if you explore, do side quest, and other stuff

No need to be in a rush to complete it, trust me, all you are looking forward to is more or less fighting the same enemies at harder difficulties. I been playing since early access and have only just unlocked extreme difficulty quests today. End game is actual end game. All the quests you can do at easy-hard will be complete cake walk as you level up, best to do them when they become available. When you are doing the story dip out and to do quests, get gear and level weapons etc, as well as explore the towns and do side quests.

Dragons dogma probably but depends if there are still issues that were in the pre release gameplay like NPCs popping in only a few meters away from the character. This will really let the game down.

I mean that game is already being panned by critics for its mediocre gameplay, terrible live stream service, terrible gameplay premise and concepts and of course, terrible writing and a horrible narrative in where super heroes like Superman, Green Lantern, the Flash and Batman, voiced by the late Kevin Conroy, gets killed off in the most insulting, baffling and lamest ways possible. Also I forgot to add in Persona 3 Remake for contenders for best game of 2024

If you can make it past credits....tried to run the game like 100 times, after some community suggestions i cant't even make it to the menu....one of the worst ports in my opinion...the game was awesome, but the port is a piece of ....
