The RVIA is the RVs lobbying group. They’ve fought lemon laws on RVs, and claim they inspect RV manufacturers for quality construction. The bar must be set super low. Plus the fact that the workers are invented to push the travel trailers out the door fast, it has led to all of this. I’ve had travel trailers since 1988 and the quality has dropped steadily since 2008.

We purchased a 2022 Rockwood Minilite 2509s after extensive research. We wanted aluminum frame with azdel walls. This was the #1 ranked bunk model under 30 feet in the nation. Only two minor issues. Plumbing under kitchen sink came loose and spilled a gallon of water while we were using it and a minor leak at the top of the front windshield. We added an extra seal that easily fit in the gap. Three days before the 2 year warranty expired on the Coleman 15k A/C unit, the compressor locked up. The dealer took it in immediately and it was replaced with 1 day left. I don't think you'll be disappointed with Rockwood.

We purchased a Rockwood 2906BS in 2021 (during Covd) and it has been rock solid, good luck.

I'm not usually pedantic, but I'd love it for everyone to stop using the manufacturers' jargon of "frame flex", and instead use the more accurate term of "frame failure". Also, the dealers who refuse to provide timely and effective service AFTER the sale need to be called out as well as the mfg. The dealership is who sold the defective unit, yet they only worry about stalling warranty processes until customers get frustrated and go elsewhere. They need to also be named and shamed when these issues get no resolution.

By the way The Carson’s evidently have been bought out again as most of his Videos are now gone again and they evidently are buying a new KZ Durango….so I assume he has signed another NDA

Rockwood and Flagstaff are probably one of the best trailers to buy as far as they're employees.They've been there a long time very low.Turn out in rockwood and flagstaff workers. I've had 3 Flagstaff R VS one travel trailer.2/5 wheels and have not had any major problems.A couple of minor few trim popping off.But other than that no major problems.I will only buy a Flagstaff.Or rockwood trailer

I bought a 2509S 2020 and have been extremely happy.

We sold our Diesel Pusher last November and bought a Micro Lite and I'm very impressed with the quality of it. We first looked at the Grand Design imagine xls 22rbe. But the Flagstaff (Rockwood) was much better quality and had better features.

Rockwood is a Berkshire owned company and no one has the guts to push old Warren Buffet around. He's a stickler for selling quality in allof this businesses. For now, Rockwood is safe, but once he passes away, it will be interesting to see if they start cutting corners.

How does “extended warranty” keep RVers and the general motoring public more safe? Too many frame failures!

We had a 2007 Rockwood and structurally it was fantastic. We have a 2018 FR Cedar Creek 5th wheel and it’s been amazing going on ur 7. No major issues at all.

I agree with everything you said…except govt do more with less. Seems they strive to do less with more…but I digress. GD owner, time and dimes to maintain but so far so good. Thanks for your perspective!

I had a 2016 Momentum 376TH (Pre-covid) and every basement floor and the dining room floor rotted, windows leaked, etc.

6:37 Stopped about halfway through, ordered a 2020 Grand Design and have been full time since. Minor problems are expected but not two major companies, perhaps in agreement, greedily putting buyers at risk over a few dollars more in their pockets. Lippert and Grand Design and perhaps others, in my opinion, have bilked people out of their money, security and dreams by the corner cutting they reportedly have done. I’ll stop here because I don’t want to be disrespectful, I want things fixed. Thank you for the time.

I have a 2021 GD 28G Momentum Toy Hauler that had signs of frame flex the day that it hit my dealerships lot. We preordered our unit, and when it arrived we went to do our walkthrough and that is when I found the laminate floor separated from the subfloor. The dealership led me to believe it was just an adhesive problem so I accepted and took ownership of the unit. I found out later on a FB group that the problem was much larger and it was symptoms of frame flex, which was common on the Momentum bumper pull toy haulers near the front bedroom area. GD does not want to acknowledge this as a structural issue and wanted to install a transition strip over the bubbled flooring as their fix. I refused to allow this kind of repair as it does not address the actual problem but only hides the bubbles in the flooring. Since the interaction with GD, there has been MANY people coming forward with their frame flex and frame failure problems. I will never buy another Grand Design again, poorly constructed product and the absolute worst customer service in my opinion.

We own a 2018 Rockwood. It is better in many ways than GD. They spent a little more where it counts. Suspension, floors etc. Solid.
