Grand Hotel all SET UP! 👏 Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters dollhouse mansion setup and tour!

Welcome to the grand opening of our Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters Grand Hotel (aka Regency Hotel, aka Cloverleaf manor LOL)! This was SO fun setting it up! I'm sorry it took a few days to get the video out, I really only work on them after the kiddos go to bed, and this one required a little more editing than the others. :-)
This video is a time-lapse of the setup, and then a tour mostly to music without me talking much at all. I'd love to hear any ideas/suggestions you have for Critterland or for our videos!
And great news... Critterland is just about ready! Stay tuned for a look at our new and improved Calico Critters village.

I love this set-up so much! The little details you added with the guest books and menus and the housekeeping trolley are so wonderful! I love the idea of using the spare check-in desk for the buffet too!

Thank you! Since doing videos, I have really had a blast with the collection, enjoying it in all kinds of new ways, and it’s been fun to share! And it’s amazing just how many people really like miniatures and Sylvanian - I literally thought like three or four people would ever watch these videos lol!

I love how you’ve put your hotel together. Such creativity! I have the same hotel and I put the, can’t remember what it’s called, the green equivalent to the Seaside Birthday, on the roof terrace and added one wrought green two seater table and the same four seater, the one with the clear plastic top. It’s a good fit. Also used the floor tiles for the old full bathrooms on top of the other top spaces and use them for various things. Your videos are wonderful! I like how much you enjoy everything. It’s a treat to have found them. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing, yes I know the one, I think it's the Garden Party but I'm not positive. It comes with a bazillion little cups, almost too many LOL!

@@AdventuresinCritterland Those punch cups have caused me no end of frustration. And I have them on the tray with the beer mugs. Oh my! I would like to share three things that have helped immensely with arranging critter items. 1) 12 inch long tweezers. A real lifesaver. 2) A long handled soft brush. They sell them at Amazon. Cleans critters, furniture, buildings, about everything and gently. 3) museum glue. Not glue at all, but a tacky substance one can tear off in tiny bits to use, and reuse, for things such as Christmas or Hanukkah items. I’ve used it in places that are hard to get to and fall down easily. Critters are fun and shouldn’t be TOO frustrating. Us humans and our huge fingers! Thanks for listening and, again , I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for providing more critter happiness

This video was the first one I watched on your channel and I still love it. The hotel setup is so beautiful 🤩🤩🤩 and all my critters would love to travel to critterland just to stay a night in this cozy hotel 😄 The Regency Grand Hotel is one of my favorite Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters buildings. I have been searching for a while now. And a few days ago I found one in a pretty good condition on ebay 😁 All fingers crossed it will survive the transport with Hermes 🙈😅😂

And funny you say that, I had a crazy fantasy of doing a "Critter Exchange Program," where we can swap critters for a week, and share pictures/videos of them in each other's setups. My husband and I had a seriously good laugh talking about it, ultimately concluded there's probably not enough demand to warrant all the kinks that would need worked out... but who knows, maybe I'll set it up anyway someday!! 🤣 Congrats on your new hotel - woohoo!! Fingers crossed shipping goes well!

Which one do you prefer, this red one or the white version? I don’t own either so I can’t speak for detail or durability, but from what I’ve seen I like both for different reasons. The red one looks more rustic, like a bed-n-breakfast, while the white one looks fancier like a mansion.

I think the red is my favorite, it’s just so elegant and makes a “statement,” almost looks Georgian. But I love the white one too!! ❤️❤️

I know!! Believe it or not, I tried squeezing little toilet areas into those small rooms, I just couldn’t make it work. There’s also no staircase which bugs me so much!! 😆

I am sorry I am so late in replying but I hope I can still be helpful. I happen to have an unused nursery next to my bedroom to use, but I have seen collectors use shelves for small buildings and a small table for larger ones, something that can be tucked in the corner of a living room or bedroom. My best advice would be to keep it away from windows, as sunlight turns the plastic yellow, or to cover everything with a sheet during the day. I would also discourage storing critters in a basement, depending on your climate the moisture could damage them. Also, I suggest keeping small accessories put away rather than in the buildings, this has helped me prevent a lot of loss. I hope this helps and LMK what you decide!

Thanks for watching! This one is retired but comes up on eBay from time to time (that’s where I found this one and the white one too)… and wait for a good deal, sometimes they get listed for crazy prices, but I found this as well as the white one for around $150! ❤️
