Received a 6146-8000 from a local seller, took it out, wound the crown a few turns, then the hands spinned and fell off. So sad had to return them :(

Fantastic Video Mat. Hope you had a great Holiday and New Year. I learn a lot from your videos. I do have an odd question which I can send to you via the website. Anyway, thanks for doing these! Hello again. I cannot find a way to contact you but here is my odd question (sorry to bore everyone with this). I am from an industry that makes very complex devices, PC's. I am retired now but I believe that when a PC was designed, a team did it. These beautiful watches are far beyond complex... so my odd question is when a new model of some brand is made, who makes it? Is there a team at the brand? Does one person own the new watch and get it put together? Sorry to bother you and I hope I spelled your name correctly. But that was my question and again thanks for doing these!

What is it that really makes a Grand Seiko stand out from other watches? I mean, there's a lot of hype around it, but can it be boiled down to extra quality control and the electric movement? I just have a hard time undestanding why it's a xxx thousand dollars watch, compared to the competition.

For the modern ones, I guess some reasons could be: - Available for purchase upon walking in the store - very high quality and finish with amazing polishing - no snobby brand that paints a daylight robbery target on your back

The quality of modern Grand Seikos are insanely impressive. From a technically prospective their attention to detail is impeccable 👍🏻
