It's insane that this whole game was able to run on PS2. That whole system doesn't have HDD or any other storage but a slow DVD drive. In addition, the whole system has grand total of 32 MB of system RAM and a GPU with 4 MB of RAM. Modern systems require about 1000x the resources to run GTA V!

Man , this is the Nostalgia ! Good old days ! I didn't have a PS2 but my cousin has , back in 2000's . I was always going to their home and play GTA San Andreas together . The grafic , guitar bass effect on the load screens from TV , some BETA parts in the game - that was our childhood . Now the Fortnite , PUBG , Call of Duty online and other games are today's children's game . Yeah , some times later they will be nostalgic games too but not good as these games .

I came here to check if your game has fps drops as mine in grass areas and with lot of things going on nearby. It looks it was normal for this game. Thanks for this gameplay.

@@Wrublos212 No, the game targets 25 fps and drops to sub 20 frequently. It runs like ass and that's the reality of it.

Better than the Definitive Edition?!? Yea, sorry no. Everything and everyone looks dark as shit in this video due to the sunny sky. It DE did one thing right, they copied the characters dark skin tones and correctly. I’m willing to admit it could just be me but SA ps2 does have a unique atmosphere that separates it from the other GTAs. Guess I should just buy the original ps2 one and compare it to DE

jesus ;-; back then the whole screnn is just smashed or what? they played these on a 480p television? or on a 240p? i know back then the flat screen expensive or in beta but wow. How they can play like that. And i tought there will be a 30fps gameplay recorded, but this is 45+ impressive (maybe 60 but i see like 50-55)

When this game came out, no one cared about frames per second. We used CRT TVs. Consoles, DVD players, and some sound systems used analog cables. FPS and the number of pixels weren't really on people's minds. If it was fun, we played it. If it wasn't, we didn't. Didn't care what it looked like.

The video itself is only 30fps so I have no idea what you are hallucinating, but San Andreas is capped at 25 fps and averages slightly below that(often sticking to 20). This is just barely perceived as motion by humans.

I hate gta 5 and i only like gta 3, vice city, san andreas, liberty city stories and vice city stories. I am okay with gta iv, cw and gta advance.

Yeah, uncesored, uncut, with proper lightning filter, no bugs, no gliches, with amazing details like car light and so on. Belive me its way better then Definitive, best way to play now a days is use PS2 Emulator on PC and play on it original GTA SA PS2 version.

Written May 26, 2022 The ps2 version has bugs too. It’s less prominent than DE but it has groundbreaking bugs. People seem to forget everyone has a personal preference: those who played the originals for ps2 who grew up on them will obviously think that’s better and those who only played the mobile gta versions will obviously think those are better Honestly, my opinion is as long as both have the same unchanged story then who cares which ones people like more. Same as the original SpongeBob Battle For Bikini Bottom having better more realistic characters/atmosphere as the original on ps2 in my eyes vs BFBB: Rehydrated having better over exposed environmental graphical colors/textures with plastic Characters for a more cartoonish atmosphere . both I like for different reasons
