The game would re-release on the Playstation 1 later in 1999 and eventually on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Featuring incredibly detailed and colorful 2d sprite work combined with a surprising number of early 3d models, Grandia tells a tale of adventure and acceptance. It's a textbook example of the golden years of JRPG's. Come sit with me and let's revisit Grandia!

Grandia 1 is one of my favorite games ever. I got it for my 10th or 11th birthday just as a random gift and I'm super happy i got to experience this unique world and amazing music. I love this game and all the characters in it!

20:08 it's a chance to scour the dungeon making sure you didn't miss anything, rather than making it collapse once you defeat the boss.

I went back playing Lunar The Silver Star and it's bringing back the good times for sure. It's been 15 yrs since I played last. It's still great 👍. Grandia here will most likely be my 2nd attempt or Lunar 2.

I just recently completed both Grandia 1 and 2 on Switch, both fantastic games, but I think I enjoyed 1 more. Oh, Justin's mom apparently wasn't just a pirate in her youth, she was "the most fearsome Pirate Queen on the seas" which is hilarious.

Watching this review and around 18:30 I hear FF9 music. Confused but still respect it. I love this game, and really a lot of JRPG's from the PS1 era. I think that was when the genre was at its strongest. This review is very well done and I would love to see you do Grandia 2, FF9, and Lunar Silver Star Story Complete or Lunar: Silver Star Harmony.

I have to say, the animation of the characters during acting scenes as well as in battle are really well done for the time. Some of it is unreadable anime nonsense, but mostly it looks great. The user interface on the other hand... yeesh...

It's pronounced game "ef-ae-kyuus" not game "facks". In case you didnt know, FAQ is an initialism (like FBI, not an anagram like NASA) that stands for "frequently asked questions".
