Sentomaru is really becoming the hidden MVP of this arc.

Kizaru and Luffy don't seem be taking each other seriously at all. At best they're just keeping each other at bay to buy time to do their necessary tasks.

Seeing how desperate Vegapunk is to save Bonney, I am now 100% convinced that she is a child

Now i can see how confident Kizaru was even volunteering to go after the yonko in wano.

This chapter almost solidifies the Bonney is a child theory for me. Especially with Stella's line "She was with adults like you." Hinting that Stella doesn't see Bonney as an adult compare to the others. And later he calls her a little/young girl. We will see how Viz translates it.

Kizaru still looks like he's not even trying. Luffy looks like he's just having fun. Top tiers in One Piece feel different.

As for Doflamingo suddenly being able to colour his threads, a possible explanation could be that, since his default threads seem to be transparent, he's layering them to reflect light in a certain way to create colour

The biggest thing about this fight is Kizaru is making no attempt to fight Luffy directly which allows the versatility of his fruit to be highlighted.

I for one greatly appreciate that Oda is stepping outside his comfort zone and trying to improve his artistic capabilities.

I just figured that since Kizaru is made of light, essentially, he probably perceives things significantly faster than everyone else and is simply not disoriented by being spun around because it's just not happening very fast to him. 🤷‍♂️ Makes sense to me.

I like how Kizaru isnt a threat bc he's stronger than Luffy but because of his speed. He's not trying to beat Luffy, he's distracting him long enough to accomplish his mission

He has not been hit once and he hasnt even tried to use his awakening or used a top tier attack. I have no idea why some people say he's losing so far in the fight. His battle IQ during this fight has been greater than Luffy's. Last chapter he got 4 effective hits with a single kick (land a clean hit on Luffy, destroy the ship's transportation, damage Luffy with the laser barrier going out and forcing him to get more damage going back in) and now he used the same action to get out of a sticky situation and fool his opponent at the same time. This was not what I was expecting from Kizaru tbh, he's way more tactical that what I assumed his style would be. I'm loving this fight.

I think Saint Jay Garcia Saturn is going to give the order to destroy Egghead Island no matter who are in the island, even if that includes Cipher Pot or a mere Marine Admiral. After all, the Gorosei is the absolute definition of "The end justifies the means."

I hate how people are saying that Luffy shouldn’t be struggling at all in this fight, but, Luffy barely got Gear 5. Luffy isn’t as experienced with his awakened fruit as Kizaru is with his light fruit. While Luffy is quite talented, and Gear 5 is strong, Kizaru would have some sort of advantage due to being more experienced.

Kizaru out here pulling out after images and clones while he strangles Usopp lol and how Luffy swung him around was hilarious, plus the name of his attacks is dope, not to mention Vegapunk with Atlas got pacifistas back on team science while they're going lightspeed themselves towards Bonney 🤣

We haven’t gotten to an Awakened Logia yet. All we know is the effects of them exerting their power. If Kizaru does happen to get into a predicament with Luffy where his “mission” is not going to be accomplished he might just have to bust out a brighter style. Smoker was our intro into Logia powers, now Kizaru could be our intro to an Awakened one.

It makes sense that Luffy is struggling with Kizaru like this. Kaido was a MUCH bigger opponent and they were fighting out in the open. Compare to now he is fighting someone that moves at light speed and in a crammed space. Plus, Kizaru knows the layout of Egghead so he has more of a field advantage knowing where to go when he needs to fall back

I’ve always found the juxtaposition of giving a very slow-paced character the power to move “at the speed of light” pretty funny. Looking forward to seeing how things progress from here on out

Admiral Kizaru vs Emperor Luffy is gonna be pure unadulterated awesomeness.

I really love how nonchalant Kizaru is when it comes to dealing with Luffy. It cracks me up to see how he casually observes that he's about to fall into the ocean before warping back to Egghead. At the same time, he's surprisingly focused on the mission, using his light doppelgangers to keep Luffy distracted while he goes for Vegapunk again. He's definitely going to be a challenge to deal with, that's for sure (not that I expected Luffy's fight against him to be easy, that is). That final panel of St. Jaygarcia Saturn coupled with Atlas giving the order to the Pacifistas to fight the Marines definitely has me thinking he's going to get directly involved with the conflict soon. This was bound to happen after it was set up that the order of authority for the Pacifistas and the Seraphim has the Five Elders set above the Vegapunks, but now that things are really heating up on Egghead, his role coming into play is definitely bound to happen and moment now.

With what we've seen of Bonney--her actions, her abilities, etc--it's hard to imagine her holding a similar rank as Luffy/Law/Kidd back in the days of Sabaody. Makes me wonder if Bonney has a bigger bounty for a different reason. Something more Robin-esque where she's hunted because she knows something or is important in some other way (insert clone theories here). At this point, most of what we've seen of Bonney is her getting captured, and her hiding.

It's crazy that it feels like kizaru still isn't trying that hard

Kizaru stopping mid-air, separating himself, and reassembling himself was awesome. That is such a good use of light. I'm curious if he can change the vibration of the light creating radio waves. Also Lucci is on the level of Sanji now, Luffy knocked him down to 4th place...

Everyone expects Franky to have a shining moment during egghead but i think it’s going to happen after, i think Stella will not be able to leave, leaving Franky to mess with all the gadgets jimbei was gathering this chapter and improving them.

Kizaru clone ability would be best used as either distraction or large scale battles to handle fodder enemies.

This chapter gave more evidence that Bonney is a child using her powers to age herself. Vegapunk refers to Bonney as a "Young Girl" and refers to Franky as a "Big Adult", there have been so many comments alluding to Bonney's youth so I feel like Oda is hammering this idea home.

Kizaru is definitely impressing me, i never thought Luffy would low-mid diff him but i thought Luffy would have much more dominance in their exchanges…but Kizaru doesn’t even look like he’s exerting himself, it’s showing that an admiral’s experience, intelligence and mastery of their DF can allow them to deal with any encounter even against a Yonko

One thing I don't see mentioned is how Luffy strategically lined up the clones and took them out in one swoop.

considering how S-Snake still has memories of Hancock's affection and trust in Luffy, I'm actually very excited and hopeful that we'll get something similar for S-Bear. If memory serves, he never got to actually _see_ Bonney at any point during Egghead (because I don't remember her ever commenting on it because she obviously would if she saw him), so that makes me wonder if his inherited love for Bonney will drive him to try and protect her from harm, even if he's trapped in the seastone bubble. I dunno if he'll specifically recognize her as his "daughter", but I think he'll definitely recognize her as his family.

This chapter made me wonder about the experience gems related to Bonney's powers, as she used them again without the gems showing. Have we seen her de-age or up age a single person other then herself and Vegapunk? Because whenever she uses her power on a group, there's always roughly an equal amount of de-aged and up aged targets. Perhaps she transfers the exp from the former to the latter.

Got to hand it to Oda he gives the fans what they want: an exciting story, interesting characters and more scenes of Nami’s butt.

Weird that Kizaru does what I expected from Lucci: not straight beating his enemy, but using tricks to get the objective.

Shoutout to Oda for just ignoring the giant bomb he dropped at the end of the last chapter.

The fact that Luffy hitting the clones and not damaging Kizaru really shows that not all logia are created equal, when Vergo attacked smoker while his arm was made of smoke he was able to hurt smoker so all of the smoke acted as a target. In Kizaru's case however he seems to be able to seperate his logia body and still control the seperate pieces like doflamingo did with his string puppet. Also being able to control so many clones at once shows how mentally capable Kizaru actually is.

What makes Egghead so great is that there is literally so much that could happen at any moment. We got through a-lot of great exposition to this moment where literally so much is happening. Nothing is set in stone and the situation is extremely fluid.

I would actually love to see further twists in the command hierarchy of the pacifistas. Mainly Saturn commanding them to turn on Bonney only at the last moment for them to stop and not adhere to it, a previously unknown remnant of OG Kuma that got carried over making them not want to harm his daughter, and ultimately resulting in a new hidden addition at the top of the hierarchy: Bonney herself. Ripe for chaos to ensue.

Ever since that one Nami panel, I knew Oda had ulterior motives. This makes complete sense to me, cause I remember thinking it was weird that we were getting so many butt shots this arc specifically because Oda always seemed like more of a boob man based off his usual fanservice, so I thought he might be experimenting or something.

it's interesting to think that kisaru "taking his sweet time" may be due to him thinking too quickly and everything seeming too slow in his perspective, so he actually has time to think while being thrown into the water and high speed.

I suspect that Luffy's haki can hurt Kizaru and his light clones, however, I think Kizaru is doing a Katakuri and moving himself around the attack so he can't be hit. I mean, with his speed he should be able to do this technique quicker than anyone else. Was a really cool fight while it lasted but tbh really disappointed at the amount of fighting between Kizaru and Luffy given the chapter was called Kizaru vs Luffy. They attacked each other only twice each.

I keep getting the feeling that Bonney is more important than we think and younger. She was called a “young girl” again in this chapter. Mind you Kizaru said she was an “acquaintance” and “kids grow up so fast” last chapter to her but i think that’s a hidden message obviously because of her powers

Definetly more excited about what Saturn will/can do. Yes the iron giant is interesting and i wanna see what will happen with it, however it will most likely be just a short story device that barely matters after egghead while saturn is one of the most important characters in the series. having a chance to gauge their power levels would be great to see and wouls also answer my question of "was Kaido REALLY the strongest in the verse? or did the others just not care about that title?" especially after now seeing how Kizaru is handling Luffy i also feel like his remark of being confident in possibly fighting 2 emperors at once wasnt that much of an overstatement as we originally thought...

One Piece is one of the only stories where someone can ask “What do you want to see, the old man, or the robot?” And “The Old Man” can be a legitimate answer. Because frankly, after all these years, I absolutely would prefer to find out what these old men do

In response to your comment about Kaidos backstory in the recent anime episod, TOTALLY agree. They A got so much more pathos out of it and did a really good job framing Kaido and Luffy as two folks who use strength to achieve their goals, but Kaido as someone's who couldnt see beyond strength as the ideal. They told us so succinctly why he needs that, because it is how he pushed back against his own oppressors. Loved it.

I had a quite different understanding of Zoro’s fight with King. I think Zoro meant that if Enma continued to drain his Armament Haki at this rate, he would die. But then he activated his Conqueror’s Haki, which satisfied Enma and stopped the massive Haki drain. So Zoro had discovered a solution to his problem and thus he said “perfect”. I see it as Armament being fast food, while Conqueror’s is a gourmet meal, which Enma was used to from his previous master. So while Zoro certainly still has to improve Conqueror’s Haki and will get gradually exhausted during the fight, I think can use Enma without risking his life.

Shadow Clone Jutsu was always one of my favorite powers and I always wanted their to be a devil fruit which gives the user this power. Maybe a Bon Chan awakening could do something like this. For now, I'm really happy with Kizaru's light clones

Knowing how much Oda and Kishimoto respect each others work, I wonder if having light clones (as opposed to shadow clones) was written on purpose.

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. It's no surprise that the flames on Zoro's sword confirms that we will see "the King of Hell" again very soon. However, I now wonder if Oda will take the chance to reveal some more clues on the Grim Reaper that tried to hurt him back in Wano! 2. Idk what Saturn will really do in the very next chapter, but I think that it will not be good for Luffy & the others even if they do have the upper hand with Kizaru!

I have a way out-there theory based on very loose speculation for a potential twist if Stella dies, come with me on this: as far as we know, food on egghead all comes out of machines. The nearest and only fruit on the island that his devil fruit could reincarnate in that we know of for sure are on the tangerine trees on the Sunny. We had a failed rescue attempt at marine ford and a devil fruit reincarnation at Stella's old lab in the past, soo? And hey, Franky may have turned down the mera mera no mi on Dressrosa, but would he turn down the chance for exclusive and direct access to Punk Records? SUPER futuristic battle franky technology for the rest of the story? Please and thank you! Anyone else on this line of thinking or just me hoping that apple gramps goes donut-Ace mode and sacrifices himself for Luffy?

For some reason when Vegapunk went out to save Bonney, the last chapter that Garp appeared when he talked about the youth being the future came to mind. Maybe it is possible that Vegapunk will stay behind to save Bonney, Sentomaru and his "children"(his satellites). And it is possible that he'll be spared because WG will need him for the Mother Flame, since I believe York will leave with the BB crew.

The Admirals vs Yonko discussion has been going crazy this arc. I feel like everyone forgotten what Kuzan and Sakazuki did to Punk Hazard! I never understood why tier lists have a Yonko tier and below that an Admiral tier because everyone just assumed that Yonko was peak when the only time that we have seen an admiral go all out it was against another admiral and they literally changed the climate of an entire island.

Crazy theory. Bonnie is a clone. She has been called a young girl by people who could be in the know. She has said multiple times that her dad would not have left her. So Kumas daughter couldve died somehow and thats what motivated him to undergo the operation in the first place. At a primal level, he heard Bonnie was alive and is doing everything he can to get to her.

Luffy pushes back kizaru > saturn changes tides of battle by ordering PXs > old robot gets activated > saves enough time for an escape > we see a small glimpse of Saturn's power > most vegapunks die > vegapunk stays with strawhats til elbaf but will be unconscious most of the time since there's no York feeding his brain thus giving us the bare minimum of informations

I never believed in the "Bonney is still a child" theory, but my god if they didn't hammer down Bonney being young I this chapter. It almost makes me a believer in that theory.

I thought it was really cool when Lucci/Kaku agreed to join the Strawhat's for mutual benefit. The fact that Lucci has already betrayed them is fairly disappointing, though admittedly fitting for the character. I thought Oda would do more with the character, like keep him supporting Luffy for lot of chapters and eventually Lucci takes an opportunity to assassinate Robin. Would have loved to see some scene where Robin sees it coming and stops Lucci with some new weird evolution of the hana hana no mi. Seems like he's just going to get beaten by Zoro and that'll be the end of the character.

It really sucks Oda is nerfing Luffy at a time like this. I don’t understand why he won’t let Luffy use conquerors coating. It doesn’t make any sense.

I think Kizaru is so confident in his abilities combined with him already knowing about Luffy and have already beat Luffy, he truly believes he can be Luffy.

I can't wait to see Saturn. I feel like that's going to be an Oars battle, where the straw hats show what they can do when working together along with Vega Punk, Bunny and Kuma...I bet that's what it will take to take him down.
