Well for someone cheating this speed isn't possible, they would need time to check moves and premoves wouldnt be possible

@@zeNUKEify Well, he's playing while livestreaming, while teaching, while bantering with his chat, while deliberately simplifying his playing style so his audience can understand what is happening and sometimes deliberately choosing suboptimal moves for educational purposes. So he's actually kind of playing with both eyes closed, one hand tied behind his back while hopping on one foot and singing the main tune of Pirates of Penzance in his head. So maybe against the 1700s he opts to open one eye....

@@ronanshanley7829 BUT I think Danya was referring to the region over the graph not the curve itself. Imagine the right side of the curve is shaded to represent the area of successful attack, it makes complete sense.

I think it was in this one, someone asked "what advice would you give your opponent to improve?", and I thought that was a great question for these videos. If you also included that at the end of matches, I think it'd be very instructive. This is an awesome series and thank you for doing it.

A tip about your graph. You should've highlighted the area on the outside side of the line because that's where the successful attack is possible.

Naroditsky is probably hands down your best tutor and teacher when it comes to KZfaq chess lessons. Honestly man huge respect, you’ve helped me climb the ranks from 600 to 1500 and continue to help me. Everything I know in the middle game And opening Ive learnt from you. Thank you!!

@@djonskimu1148 - he should do speed runs with specific openings. Like with white he only plays London, and black only plays Sicilian. Or even some gambits. Doesn't have to get to 3k, but even up to 2k would help most ppl. I really want to see him do more d4 openings

The graph of Success of the attack = f(# of pieces, weaknesses near King) should be in 3D. And, presumably, look like parabolic cone) Just put into Wolfram Alpha "plot z=x*x + 2*y*y"

Great video as always, Daniel! Thanks for the wonderful explanations! Only one thing I noticed, maybe it's just for me, but the volume of this video seems to be a bit lower than the others, it's a bit harder to listen. But other than that, it was perfect!

The problem with the graph is that it tries to visualize three dimensions (piece quantity, kingside weaknesses and probability of succes) in a two-dimensional space of representation. He needs to draw a nice multivariable gradient.

Please keep making these kind of video's its greatly appreciated. Although I'd like to add I like the idea of putting your train of tought into graphs but please use basic mircosoft lines for it. Very insightfull, but the graphs don't overlap with the explanation given. Kind regards,

Could also word it as the number of pieces required for a successful attack depends on the safety of the king. Safer king means more pieces attacking

I have two questions. In "Modern views", Réti says Caro-Kann's 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Nf6 5.Nxf6 gxf6 is completely equal. 1) Why did they think that position was equal? 2) Why we do not think that position is equal nowadays?
