My spouse and I are recent converts to your channel Mr. Rosen. We had been viewing lots of Gotham chess ,but Levy goes too fast for us to catch on . Your laid back style and careful constructs are helping us pick up our games. It's to the point where I fear missing any videos that my partner has seen without me. Very risky for me to be sure. @@ulcea7900 the quality of Eric's highlights is unmatched. when i watch a gotham video, his self-aware humor is what saves it. otherwise to me he just comes off as a good chess player who teaches for money. which is fine i guess. but Eric's passion for the game captured authentically is 100x better on every level, for instruction and for entertainment.

Eric - love the Ponziani content and thanks for the heads up re subscribing with prime, will do that today. Where would you recommend learning the Ponziani in depth? Also, do you have any anti siclian systems you play as that's my major stumbling block with playing 1e4 (Ive always generally played 1d4 to avoid it)

i totally agree. Ponziani creates a quick and simple imbalance but how to capitalize with mis placed knight is the trick

Love your content Eric. Even though I’m pretty useless I just won a game with a Ponziani and Qa4 in 12 moves. It seemed to baffle my opponent and left him wide open. Really nice 😀

"KH4 is funny" but in actuality it's hilarious and I still don't know why. I love Eric's games it's like watching a movie - so suspenseful and our hero always seems to win in the end when all these impossible obstacles are thrown his way.

Very useful. I've played the Ponziani a few times but tend to lose or not get a great advantage against opponents who play d4, so I must remember this! And there must be a cartoon animal - a cat, or snail, or sloth! - waiting for Eric to provide the voice for...

I looked at this game and found Black's E pawn is the key for Black to win. Black blundered by NOT moving the E pawn forward. Eric, luck played a role in this win. It was very entertaining to watch. The key to this variation is to know when to cut and run with the material gained or the disruption made upon Black's ranks.

At 450 take center line pawn move rook over for check, bishop is locked by queen then check with your bishop then take his bishop with your queen for mate

How about a video on how you set up your software, please. For example, after a game, I’d like to play the moves and see what “the engine” says about moves as the game progresses and gives an accuracy percentage. I’m sort of isolated chess-wise so it would be handy to have a knowledgable evaluation, even if it’s from a “machine”.
