We have already posted a video about pathrode making from colocasia leaves. Here is one more similar recipe, but not pathrode, it is roti cooked on tava. Colocasia leaves are very healthy to our body. Generally these leaves grown by themselves at roadsides etc. Have itching nature. So be careful while selecting the leaves for cooking. Avoid the leaves which have high itchiness. For preparing rotis, colocasia leaves & onions are chopped finely. Soaked rice is ground with fried masala. Spices used here are dhania, jeera and red chillies. Then everything mixed together and rotis made directly on the hot tava (traditional style) and cooked both the sides. Prefer eating them hot, but eating after cooled down also no matter.
Ingredients :
Dosa rice 6cups
Brown rice 2cups
Salt to taste
Jaggery
Tamarind
Dry red chilli 12
Coriender seeds, 2sp
Jeera 1sp
Turmeric powder 1/2sp
Onions 3
Coconut oil
