It’s crazy to spend 7 grand on a dress you wear for one day. Unimaginable for someone of modest background who has likely worked their way through school. I think it was insulting to her grandpa to go over his generous $5000 budget.

If you don't have the money to pay for it yourself, accept the gift you're given and keep your mouth close. I'm really ashamed of her. How greedy.

My dress cost $200 in 1982, which I had to pay off in installments . 43 years later it hangs in my closet . It was not the dress of my dreams, but it allowed my dreams to come true.

Grandpa is amazing and if I knew a dress was over budget, either I would pay the difference or find another similar dress. And btw, grooms don't care about the dress. Most will love whatever you wear. They're not seeing the dress, they're seeing their bride, their wife.

She only tried on the other 2 to make it LOOK like she was willing to consider something else. And naturally that dang Monte was willing to jump right in there and help her pressure grandpa into feeling like he has to go along with it. They didn't even TRY to "jack her up" (I hate that term) in the other options. The dress she loved is SO unflattering on her; the ballgown was WAY better! It really accentuated her waist, sparkled beautifully and IMHO made her look a lot classier.

Poor Grandpa! I understand he loves his granddaughter, but how rude of her to manipulate him like that. The worst thing about it is that the bride looked stunning in the ball gown. The Lazzaro emphasized her tummy and made her hips look big. I hope she enjoyed wearing that dress for one day.

She was vetted for the show. She surely pre-indicated her desire for this particular dress (what if the store didn't carry it or simply not in stock?) and her budget. It's all about the drama.

If anything, I think she and her bridesmaids should have volunteered to split the $2500 overage after hearing the grandfather say her dress cost too much.

I'm less then a minute into this video and bawling. When he said, "Thats my Grandbaby" I remembered the feeling of my Grandpa hugging me when he was still alive. I wish I could hug him now. Good Dads/Grandpas are everything to a girl and i'm so lucky I found a man who is just as Good to our daughter.

Ok. Dream dress or not, $7600 plus tax is a lot to spend on a dress. $5000 is a very reasonable budget. If you want to go over budget, maybe you need to get a job to pay the difference instead of expecting your grandfather to foot the bill.

Regardless of price, the ballgown suited her much, much more.

Dress 2 was gorgeous. Why couldn't she have that? I see no reason why there could only be one dress that she could possibly have or why she even tried the expensive one on. She basically manipulated her elderly grandfather into buying it for her.

The ballgown was a lot better than the Lazaro dress. That style (the mermaid) didn’t flatter her at all. So, for her to say “his opinion matters to me” that’s a complete load after the manipulation with the crocodile tears and Monti going along with her rather than respecting the grandfather’s budget.
