Hello My Name Is 5 One of the reasons we (North Americans and most others) don't eat dogs and other animals, and that we have a select few animals we all commonly eat is because dogs and other carnivores are more expensive to upkeep. Cows eat grass, chickens eat grain, etc. All very cheap upkeep. Dogs eat meat, which is more expensive. I love dogs and don't agree with eating them but I understand that that's only because of our society portraying them as loved family members. As you said, if we kept pigs as family pets, we would see them being eaten the same way we see dogs being eaten. Absolutely agree with you. People just refuse to accept these things. Also, it's hilarious and disgusting that you have to explain to people how saying that asians eat dogs is racist. Saying that any race as a whole does a certain thing, especially something that's typically considered negative, is racism.
