The ranking is cool, but if you're turned off of Springsteen because of patriotism I just wanted to let you know that Born in the USA is a protest song about the treatment of Vietnam veterans. A lot of his stuff harshly critiques America so he might be worth another look for you. Love your videos they are always inspiring!

Yeah, there is so much more going on in that image (especially when you know the context of the song) but regardless, - we assume he's looking at a flag, but we don't see the whole flag. The flag is way bigger than him. We don't see his face. The red, white and blue are actually on him, he's wearing it, made up of simple worn out clothes. So to me, what it means is a man looking at America, trying to understand what it means to him, when he is actually it himself.

Joni Mitchell Hejira " weird nineties double exposure" was produced in the seventies. It's iconic. For a graphic designer to give it a "D" is artistic malpractice.

Respectfully, I cannot believe you put the Led Zeppelin album that low 😩 one of the most iconic cover arts of all time, done before thresholding was a thing.

Great video. But I think you may be discounting Springsteen because of the aesthetic he appears to put on. The dude is absolutely not “patriotic” in the conservative sense. Dude has always been progressive and has never been afraid to criticize the more pernicious elements of American culture. Born in the USA the furthest thing from a nationalist anthem.

Exactly. Springsteen is patriotic (critical of a country he loves) but not nationalistic (my country is the best and screw you if you think otherwise).

TPAB at just a B is kinda wild. The composition of this photo, for one thing is crazy, and if you listen to the album multiple times through, you really can't think of a photo that would represent the music better. Then again, this is more about how it looks by itself, not much about the music it represents.

Nice tiering. I would say that recognizing something without text has nothing to do with the graphic/art, that's entirely about the music and marketing. If Dark Side had terrible music, you would have no idea what it is.

1989 is a much better than so many ones above it that have just a text over... same for Lemonade, the color palette is amazing I feel like like being recognizible and iconic has nothing to do with the quality of the album cover. So many boring and bland covers got to high tiers, but that is my opinion. Katy Perry's Teenage Dream deserved to be bere tho

Dude.... I'm just over 2 minutes in and you already lost me. how could you put Led Zeppelin 1 at C tier. One of the most striking and iconic images in all of rock history! Yet right before it you put some forgettable, generic lazy white background, baby and text picture at A tier?
