The one pull out you didn't cover with The Vault is a G1 animation cell. Don't expect anything extraordinary but a nice thing to have.

If I was forced to choose a favorite comic series, L&R would probably be it, followed by Moore's Swamp Thing. It started off being more experimental on Gilbert's end and more rockets on Jaime's, but they soon found their stride.

Nice haul! I saw Killadephia on sale and it was teetering on possibly being an impulse buy. That said, I can't wait for the Patreon-exclusive "director's cut" of this video with the additional 47 minutes trying to get that Transformers poster back into the book. 😆

I’m shocked to hear you’re not a fan of Love and Rockets!! It’s a great, odd and quirky read. You seem to enjoy other stuff like this. 🤔 Nice haul overview. You got a lot of cool books. Where can I get a copy of that Planet of the Apes book you showed? I had never heard of that and I need it for my collection! 😊

Just had an interesting video idea reading todays One Piece chapter: “Map my Manga” ? if a manga say One Piece, Naruto, Berserk, etc was released as a comic in ongoing, mini, event, and tie in series etc format… What would those look like?

Love and Rockets is my favorite comic ever, nothing comes close for me. While I love the facsimile of this box set to reproduce the magazines at their original size and order, I do agree the reading order of the Love and Rockets library is a better reading experience. For Jaime’s work, a lot of the early Mechanics stuff is very dense and not really representative of the run. You really just got to power through that to get to the Locas stuff. If you’re not on board by Death of Speedy, it won’t be for you. For Gilbert, I think his Paloma’s stuff is really strong right from the beginning, might take a couple stories after Heartbreak Soup to really kick in. If you want to sample a mature Gilbert, read the library volume with Poison River and Love and Rockets X, they’re directly connected to Palomar but sit on their own.

OMAR! The new mutants current run has had no OHC have you heard anything about those maybe they are doing an Omni for it?

I dunno if everyone knows but theres a misprint in Dark Knight Detective volume 7. One page are printed twice. Luckily DC has updated us saying that the whole issue will be reprinted in volume 8. Phew👍

I'm not sure if I'd say the Love & Rockets hardcovers are specifically in a better reading order, but they are in the true release order of the magazines (from Vol. 1 of L&R). I prefer reading it this way since I did read them as magazines. That said, I am also a fan of the reading order of the Love & Rockets Library trades since they collect Jaime's and Gilbert's stories in a bit more of an easier to follow reading order. It also allows the reader the flexibility to focus on one of the Hernandez Bros works if they have a preference.

Last I knew he was doing his creater owned Nina and Ariel, but I'm not sure what happened after the kickstarter. I guess focusing on his teaching studio? If anyone would know, it's you😃

I was just wondering yesterday, while you were doing the live stream, where your February haul video was. I'm still very jealous of you and the British for having those Bruce Wayne Murderer/Fugitive OHCs. And I'm really glad you didn't use the "JAPAN" meme from SF2 while talking about The Lion and the Eagle, because Japan was pretty evil back then. But yeah, great video!

I would get my X-men, Spidey, FF,Bats , Supes and WW books. Then limit the rest of the books. So yes being more selective.

I want to collect these sonic collections, but after IDW dropped the ball and didn’t finish Transformers, I don’t trust them. I actually sold all my Transformers books because having an incomplete collection that would never get finished was driving me nuts.
