As someone who grew up with a single mom who worked two jobs and was on welfare… you can’t just eat steak all the time lol. Sometimes you can and even then food stamps don’t cover that much. Then if you do end up getting a decent job that starts to cover bills, you will lose all benefits and your insurance if you go over a very small amount of money you’re legally allowed to make. It’s incredibly hard to escape poverty and at the same time there are so many people that have no idea what they’re talking about when they bash people on government funding and make them out to be lazy when realistically it’s so difficult to escape the loop. I totally feel you on the crusty white dog slander. My dog tank is a miscellaneous small dog and his eye crust is so hard to deal with, just not very visible because he's brown. And on the the person in the advice segment, their boyfriend is acting super inappropriately (then blaming them ew) and isnt showing any respect for them or their relationship. Good point about liquor stores and alcohol withdrawal. I work at a therapists office that’s mostly substance abuse and have been told how alcohol has the worst withdrawals. Alcohol, benzos, and opiates are the three withdrawals that can be lethal when someone does cold turkey
