Another possible loophole to escape the grass - The kid says the field doesn’t move dead things. So when the group discovered the dead dog, they could’ve simply carried the body with them and walked outside.

Travis knew that once he touched the rock, he'd be doomed to forever provide sacrifices to feed the entity, as he "became one" with them, having his heart and soul enveloped and absorbed by the grass the moment he touched the monolith. So he chose to be the one and last sacrifice, breaking the cycle that has been going on for ages, while saving his ex-girlfriend, his future daughter, his ex-brother-in-law and a boy. True hero, mad respect. 🙌

Yes. The loop is successfully closed so Becky, Cal, and Travis never enter the grass in the first place.

No. There are now TWO versions of Travis. One that is eternally bound to the grass and cannot leave and one that never entered it. Travis essentially created a separate timeline for himself. As we saw with Ross the second someone touches the stone they gain knowledge of the field but also become fixed in the loop. When everyone else kept resetting with the loops Ross kept all of his injuries and was explicitly stated to be unable to leave. Essentially, once someone touches the stone they become fixed in time regardless of what happens to the loop and CANNONT leave the field. Their only way out is to die. The Travis we saw in movie knew this, yet touch the stone anyway so he could have a chance to save Becky and his child. Its why he just laid down and died at the end. He did what he needed to do and there was nothing else left for him. The good news is there is still ANOTHER Travis out there who never went out to look for Becky but that is arguably a completely different person that is more than two months younger than the one we got to know.

I think it was selfishness that made Ross become insane. He's aware that there's no hope left for him, that's why he just decided to pull anyone else down with him, convincing them to touch the rock as well.

Because sometimes when we go back for the recaps, we've already seen a lot of these movies. So when you get a little phrase like this it forces you to have to watch it from a fresh perspective. For me at least, I find that I hear things that I may have missed when I was actually watching it.

What noone is talking about is the fact since they went back they would pass travis's truck therefore saving him too.
