Your videos inspired me to look in my local area. Fields where I take my dog for a walk, where I wouldn't normally think to look down and have a closer look. I take my daughter, who is 6, and she takes a little bucket. Now it's her favourite thing to do, she loves it - last week we found 2 horse shoes, old pottery, clay pipe stems and fossils! Thanks for the inspiration man! Your joy is infectious.

That decorative lock looking thing does look more like a handle from a coffin or a door knocker! Very cool finds! I love the snails and woman pottery! She looks more like someone sprinkling salt on them in her garden though to me 🙂

@@BondiTreasureHunter "Op alle slakken zout leggen" is a famous Dutch proverb, which literal translation is "Putting salt on every snail." This means "Looking for all of the smallest errors to comment on." It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the tile.

These dumps usually bring up good pieces of glass bottles if your lucky intact and blue glass ones are best. Sadly these are far and few between these days as they been turned over. Blue glass was for medications or science material liquids. All good fun though, one could only wish we had the internet then.

Also I have one of those WW2 occupation coins, that my Oma kept. Very crudely made, but to be expected when the germans stole everything they could, but still needed to have currency circulating.

You probably already know this, white vinegar is great for removing rust. Small items I drop in a jar, larger ones I soak a cloth in white vinegar, wring it out wrap the item and put in a plastic bag overnight. Also good for removing limescale.

You found someone's funny one 😅😅. I remember that German money with the holes in it. I don't know if I still have some. I was about Ten when I found them. Probably left them in England. Nobody could tell my why the coins had holes in them.
