What were they thinking with the Landbase!?

I was really stoked. But the mana base and the lack of goyfs is really bothering

A lot of people seem incredibly disappointed with the deck but it honestly looks like the most fun out of the four. Reprint value is low, though Archon, Grist and Reaver Cleaver are certainly welcome; mana base is a complete disappointment for sure, but outside that it genuinely looks like a lot of fun! Goyfs might be on the low side though i'd assume going down a changeling and doublestrike route would help a lot. I think it should be easy enough to still flood the board with tokens through trample alone on goyfs. Reaver Cleaver makes a ton of sense in this deck as you're wanting to hit face with really big creatures, and generating that many treasures to play another goyf or mill right after sounds fantastic! I do wish we got Buried Alive in the precon rather than the main set, and am upset this deck seems like it needs the most tuning out of the four, however I firmly believe it's also being slept on in comparison

I’m honestly surprised Reanimate wasn’t in here, especially since we just got back to back reprints I was really hoping for a third RIP

I was honestly really dissapointed to see that tarmogoyf wasn't even in the tarmpgoyf deck. I was really considering buying this deck after the commander was leaked, but now I feel like I'll need so many switches that I'd rather just build a different, and probably much cheaper, deck.

I actually preordered this after some of the leaks showed a goyf theme. Man was I gutted when I finally saw the decklist. No Tarm, terrible landbase, very little synergy. Its very Jund, and thats cool, an homage for sure. It just feels like they squeezed Jund Modern into commander rather than try to make a good commander deck with Jund all-stars.

Notably Disa does Negate counterspells on Llurgoyfs, but has to resolve and stay in play for that. The deck needed more dual type cards to be viable and less randomness. Some solemn simulacrums and burnished harts. Some cheeky tarfires and nameless inversions

The lhugoyf theme feels like the more casual direction as it will need more work and effort, while having Coram at the helm is much more straightforward. In general theres decent non land reprints.

Im glad i only paid 45 euro's per deck. But i want more lhurgoyfs.

It seems to me like they had Life from the Loam in some version of the deck and then forgotten to change it. With Life the mana base actually seems reasonable (cycle lands are insane with it), but now it just seems random and bad. I will personally still buy the deck and loam is my first addition (as well as switching to the backup commander).

I bought this deck. I played it three times right out of the box and loved it. Won one game out of the three. I can’t wait to upgrade it.

Technically, tarmoghoyf should be in the precon has 1 of the 10 tokens. It will probably be a dual token card though, so but a colored sleeve

Im going to try to make the goyf deck on principle i think basically using every goyf and changeling cards with a lot of self mill cards could be good if the commander sticks. But a horrible precon 😅

I'm super stoked for this deck actually. Slap in the lurgoyfs that're missing, put in some more self mill and a few of the missing card types, and play the deck casually. It'll be fun.

I dont get it to... Thye just needed to put more changlings here, add 2-3 more Goyfs (even the OG Modern - that really is now not wroth a lot of $) and cards that tutor creatures in to grave. With commander in play, any tutor to grave = tutor to battlefield any GOYF !!! That wold be at least FUN ... and still not broken, becose Goyfs are generaly bad in commnader :P We need more way to give trample too - what i will do with 3-4 goyfs taht are 5/6 when i cannot pass the 1/1 army ? The mana base is TRAGIC - its not even bad... its 15 TAP LANDS , and 4 lands that are "semi-tap" lands (the two basic duals, and the new Landscape will not alwasy be untap lands if you need color). Its a more exepsive precon , they just shoud add here Fabled Passage and Prismatic Vista - and it would be not crazy (thye give the same or even better lands in the LAND pre-con). On top of that why Urza's Cave is not here :P

At this point complaining about the land bases in Commander products is a meme. Of course it is going to be standard and basic.

Disappointed yeah, but I'll still be getting it and upgrading it. Leaning into the goyfs, getting the ones the deck is missing, stuff like buried alive and reanimate. Making sneaking in a combo

Tbh i don't care of Goyfs i will just swap with the second(and definetly stronger) commander and create a full graveyard/sacrifice/self mill inferno

I really somehow expected a greater good reprint ... Orignal tarmogoyf would have been nice too and the mana base yeah .... Just sad stil thinkin about since some value is in it and i like the trynax and borrowgoyf ... The other new cards maybe the 3ple goyf is allright ... don't know ... The spoiling was awful btw there are at least a couple german mtg tubers that would have deserved it more and would have made a great video with it!!!!!

They don't include enoung goyfs or cards like Buried alive.

Agreed and someone was still defending the deck, because Wizards did not flat out state it was a Goyf deck, but the theme was a Graveyard deck. But even that is not accurate. Because really what cards are in there that say, graveyard theme. There are no cards like Burried Alive for example to really support this idea. The reprints feel very random and disjointed, like the deck has an identity crisis. The mana base is horrible. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty nice reprints, but they don't really fit in this deck. What is Selvala doing here or Reaver Cleaver for example.

Kinda funny the goyf deck doest have goyf in it. I don't think I have or ever will see a good mana base in a precons, wotc hates giving good mana fixing

This was Wizards' chance to reprint the old Lhurgoyf and thus put more in this deck.....it's a shame they did that

This deck has plenty of value. The issue is the face card lured ppl into believing this was going to be a goyf tribal deck when it isn't. Coram, gluttonous hellkite and infested thirnax are absurd. Selvala and reaver cleaver are great reprints with coram. Garruk apex is an odd choice. The mana base is really the biggest con, but only an issue for new players

The fact that half of the "new cards" of the deck don't do anything remotely close to what any of the commanders want to do is laughable. Most of the deck don't do anything that the commanders want to do, manabase is utter trash, not even painlands is a spit in the face... not to mention that the others precons got a lot of support in the main set, meanwhile this deck... I was so hyped and is by far the worst precon...

I was excited but They did a horrible, horrible job with this one. It was such a cool idea and on theme but they took the junk theme too literally. This deck looks like a mess. Where are the goyfs, are you kidding me.

Instead of the dragons they should have made more goyfs... there are only 13 Goyfs in that color ... you cant even build a tribe Deck around that! ... waste Potential :(
