I understand that people can still get pregnant when using contraceptives, but that’s a risk of having bedroom fun. I worked with a catholic nurse, and I asked how she copes with working with women who have termination and she replied I don't work with the woman before hand as it goes against my beliefs but afterwards my job is to give this lady the best health care available to her from me and support her recovery, so that's a good moral choice I guess

True. The lump of cells before 24 weeks doesn't have any consciousness to give consent. Human consciousness never existed in that featus before 24 weeks. After 24 weeks, bare minimum viable body is ready enough to host a bummer consciousness and thus can be referred as baby. Until then it is just a lump of cells. It doesn't have life of it's own. It is best to leave the right to the person who is bearing the weight, not us who is not bearing that weigh.

Women donot abort a child for fun there are psychological sensibilities attached to this topic and I have seen people going through this being a doctor .... most of the religious fanatics are waiting to misuse your genuine sensibilities to oppress women. Indian society has worse problems to be corrected first like the malnutrition of already existing children .... most of the times it's a choice between the proper nutrition and opportunities for a already existing child (under 5 deaths are still common in india due to improper nutritionand care)and abortion ... its another mouth to feed for already poor family. Women like me or men like you will be the least affected from any change in law ... these are the families whose last chance for poverty free life can be stolen from them. We are not a western society where all problems and social stigmas have been resolved that they can debate on morality of abortion... we have bigger problems to solve when they are solved believe me I will be pro life... right now we have to choose for the lesser evil option .. it's about an unwed mother losing a chance for marriage and social acceptance or a family's chance at having one or two children who can be fed properly or having more children with malnutrition and higher risk of mortality. Taking a 15% strike rate you end up with 1500 unwanted pregnancies every million fucks. Unwanted pregnancies are more common than you think. You must be open about these things

Father’s do have the right to say what they want with a abortion but ultimately it’s the mother’s body that will carry the child ( if she goes through with the pregnancy) so the final say should be hers, however she should take the father’s opinion into account, if the mother doesn’t want a abortion but the father does I believe he should be able to leave and opt out of child support before the baby is born, if the mother wants a abortion and the father doesn’t then unfortunately for him he has to respect that choice because ultimately it’s her body.
