As a Russian, who closely monitors the war, I can tell, the only private army mentioned in the video is the Wagner Group (it was dependent on Russian MOD and Putin though). The rest of the units are parts of the official Ukrainian Defense Forces, so they are subordinate to the Ukrainian military officials. Saying "so many private armies" misleads the audience. It's about "so many volunteer units" in both armies rather than "private armies". And yeah, Wagner is not a PMC as we know them, it's a private army. P.S. As mentioned by the commenters, Wagner is not the only private army in Russia, but Wion didn't mention others, so we're talking only about Wagner

@@JosePineda-cy6omyou are correct, however those two groups are not active in the Ukraine war. These are two groups she brought up as separate examples but as far as the current war in Ukraine, there is only one mercenary group, Wagner, which is being fazed out of the conflict anyway due to the march on Moscow.

Yes, mercenaries are a part of the way the world works like it or not. But I find it slightly odd that Wion - once again "forgets" to mention Indian mercenaries and private armies. To my knowledge there are at least 5 maybe 6. They may not operate in Ukraine, but they sure do in other places. A simple Google search reveals quite a bit.

What you are missing in your analysis of the Mercenary situation in Ukraine is that the International Legion is actually a part of the Ukrainian military but made up of international volunteers who came to fight in Ukraine because they support what Ukraine is doing. Wagner Private Military Company are soldiers for hire who go to the highest bidder as you saw when they turned their attentions towards Moscow. Private Military Companies exist as they have since the first time that countries saw a need to hire additional soldiers to fight their wars. "Soldiers of Fortune" are just that, soldiers, professionals, who fight for pay. This is all nothing new. Most nations employed soldiers before they had standing armies. Standing armies are a more recent development starting sometime around the time of Rome when the Republic decided it was in their best interests to create a standing, professional army and that is when soldiering became a profession. Since Roman times, standing armies have become the norm and many nations took their cues for developing their own armies from nations that excelled in creating and maintaining standing armies. The Prussian School of Germany is still regarded as the standard by which other armies are measured although the training and tactics of the Army of the United States now leads the world as the standard, the Prussian School is still highly regarded and implemented in Chile for example.

Japanese fighters are volunteers not mercenaries. The one making heavy usage of mercenaries and forced conscripts are the russians. And this was one of the reasons that caused the Wagner group “treason” insurgency and the so caller “Justice March to Moscow” which caused the destruction of 6 choppers, one transportation plane and around 30 deaths in the process.

Technically, China, Iran, and North Korea can also help with the wars economy as military industries to aid Russia in the war because the West had done the same for Ukraine 🇺🇦.. hmmmm.. I can't see why not.. hmmmm.. the best way for the federation to out produce the Western competitors is not just recruiting military personnel to the front line but also recruit people to extract resources and putting forwards towards war economy that will counter their Western world production.. yup.. it can be done. What I know about democracy is that they are easily broken apart internally due to leadership changes and economic instabilities.. yup

Last year when the 'International Legion' was 'activated', there was a reported 70 Japanese that went and joined. As mentioned in the report, some are Yakuza, some are adventurers, some are probably 'retired military' getting combat experience since Japan has few if any real 'combat veterans' and with war with China and or North Korea a daily threat, Japan needs 'veterans' to train their ground forces which would be done as civilian contractors upon their return.. A way around the Constitution that forbids combat action by Japanese.

The use of mercenaries in conflicts is a complex and controversial issue. While some argue that mercenaries can provide specialized skills and expertise, there are also ethical and practical concerns associated with their use. In the scenario you mentioned, where a country is invaded by a foreign power, the use of mercenaries might be considered as a means to bolster defense capabilities. Mercenaries can offer combat experience, tactical knowledge, and specific skills that could potentially aid in resisting the invading force. However, it's important to note that relying heavily on mercenaries can have drawbacks. Some concerns include: Motivations and loyalty: Mercenaries are typically motivated by financial gain rather than ideological commitment or national loyalty. This raises questions about their dedication to the cause they are fighting for and their willingness to risk their lives. Accountability and legal issues: Mercenaries often operate outside the jurisdiction of the laws and regulations that govern regular military forces. This can create challenges in terms of accountability for their actions, human rights abuses, and adherence to international laws of war. Long-term stability: Depending too heavily on mercenaries for national defense can undermine the development of a strong and sustainable military infrastructure. Relying on external contractors may hinder the growth and training of local military personnel, potentially leaving a country vulnerable once the mercenaries withdraw. Reputation and diplomatic implications: The use of mercenaries can have negative repercussions on a country's international reputation. It may raise concerns among other nations, affecting diplomatic relations and potentially leading to a loss of support or alliances. Ultimately, the decision to employ mercenaries in a conflict is a complex one, requiring careful consideration of the specific circumstances, risks, and potential benefits. 😎😷🥶

Like any country that sends black units *mercs* or detachments into other conflict zones. Is so these countries gain valuable knowledge in conducting warfare. Not only to improve their own troops through experience. But also to better train themselves for what could happen in the future. Because it allows them to have experience from a modern battlefield and to gain understanding of the particular challenges that follow. Again, this goes for any country. All of them send in these small batches to gain experiences in self improvement.

It is true that some countries deploy special forces or military advisors to other conflict zones to gain valuable knowledge and experience in warfare. These deployments can serve multiple purposes, including enhancing their own troops' skills and capabilities, learning from modern battlefield experiences, and preparing for potential future conflicts or challenges. By participating in conflicts abroad, countries can gain insights into the tactics, strategies, and technologies employed by different armed groups or nations. This knowledge can be used to improve their own military training, equipment, and doctrines. It allows them to understand the evolving nature of warfare and adapt their own forces accordingly. Additionally, participating in international conflicts can provide opportunities for countries to test and evaluate new weapons systems, gather intelligence, develop relationships with local actors, and refine their counterinsurgency or counterterrorism capabilities. These experiences can contribute to the overall improvement of a country's military effectiveness and readiness. However, it's important to note that the decision to send military personnel to other conflict zones is often based on a range of factors, including geopolitical interests, regional stability, humanitarian concerns, and international obligations. Each country's approach to such deployments may differ, and they must carefully consider the potential risks, costs, and consequences involved. Furthermore, while such deployments can offer valuable learning experiences, they also come with risks and challenges. Operating in complex and hostile environments carries the potential for casualties, political complications, and unintended consequences. Therefore, countries must carefully weigh the benefits and risks associated with these deployments and ensure they align with their broader national interests and long-term strategic goals.

Little do these mercenaries know they are not working for Ukraine or Zelinskyy but doing bidding for Blackrock and Cargill. Not the Ukrainian people!

They just want to die

Many people prefer to die than to witness Putin crimes and do nothing, many have die working as volunteers in evacuation or rescued of civilians trapped in war zone. I won't be calling them " mercenaries" since they are not getting any profit at all but risking their live to help Ukraine and protect freedom.

As an American, I always assumed when the Chinese roll across India’s borders, that the US would be obligated to assist to help a fellow democratic nation. Now, I’d oppose that. We have your smartest people already anyway - thanks for that.

There are volunteers from 90 countries not mercenaries, Wagner is mercenary army fighting for Putler but on Ukrainian side not hear of any mercenaries, similar "work" but for different reasons.

Exactly. Pretty poor reporting to compare foreign volunteers fighting to help expel invaders to Wagner mercenaries. Despicable.

@@CampingComrade. Not actually pal, Wagner is revealed by Putler, was payed 1 billion/year that only in salaries for mercenaries plus best weapons, custom uniforms, meanwhile, foreign voluntaries are given regular Ukrainian Army solider salary and same uniforms, food and weapons. Can you spot the difference though your ignorance?

Takes a very unique person too just get up and randomly become a soldier on a Warzone. Given the risk of death in that part of the world is very high right now.

As a Russian, who closely monitors the war, I can tell, the only private army in Ukraine is the Wagner Group (it was dependent on Russian MOD and Putin though). The rest of the units you mentioned are parts of the official Ukrainian Defense Forces, so they are subordinate to the Ukrainian military officials and don't carry out their own operations. Saying "so many private armies" misleads the audience. It's about "so many volunteer units" in both armies. And yeah, Wagner is not a PMC as we know them, it's a private army.

If God did have in plan to """...bless...""" the jukres, He won't sllow that ~hit to start in the first place. The jukres women was "for sale" in the internet long before the ~hit started so was those women which was rentingvtheir bellies for producing children for the pedophiles or homosex around the world, even now the jukres are "exportinf"children for all sort of maniacs around the world, the truth is that the jukra is a political-social-economic-hypercorrupted swamp. No ""zlava"" or """blezzings"" for such crap.
