This is basically a re-upload of the Aningaaq clip. Not because of copyright issues, mind you, but its because the audio of the original version was messed up. Special thanks to the KZfaqr "Merchant Ivory" for telling me this.

This scene made me cry both times I saw this movie several years apart. Isolation and destruction after your daughter died, followed by everyone around you dying. These space movies hit insanely hard. Was the same with First Man, and don't even get my started with Interstellar.

It's from the short called "Aninqaaq", directed by the other Cuaron. Can't recall his name. If you buy the film, you can find the short at special features.

2:45 - 3:16 is what this is all about. She prayed. In the next scene Lt. Kowalski opens the hatch and climbs in. He shows Dr. Stone how to use the landing rockets to maneuver the Soyuz spacecraft. But he also talks about Dr. Stone loosing her child which she just was thinking about when on the radio. Then Dr. Stone wakes up when he says "Time to go home." Lt. Kowalski is not there. At the end when she crawls out of the water and starts to stand up she says, "Thank you."

지구의 모든 것이 소중해지는 순간입니다. 한줌의 흙, 한방울의 물, 발바닥으로 땅 위를 걷고, 호흡하고, 개짓는 소리 하나하나가 더없이 소중해집니다.

Wasting today worrying about tomorrow, overlooking moments of beauty and happiness, moving too quickly - until it happens - you slow down, everyone passes you by, everything slips through your fingers... Wasting today, longing for yesterday, missing moments of bliss and wonder... Clarity comes too late for most people.

While "Gravity" is a good movie and Sandra Bullock's performance exemplary, it is not realistic that a mentally unstable Astronaut would be send to space. Astronauts have a very stable and balanced psyche, otherwise they would not be selected for a mission.
@alexander19024 ай бұрын
How was she unstable? It's not like she was insane or diagnosed with any chemical imbalances. There's been several special operations operators that have become astronauts and have legitimately been through unbelievable combat operations. Andrew Morgan and Jonny Kim for example.
