Hi I am Ann Reardon, How to Cook That is my youtube channel it is filled with crazy sweet creations made just for you. Today I am making a gravity defying popcorn cake which looks like a pot or saucepan with the lid flying off and popcorn exploding out of it. It is made from chocolate cake layered with cream and salted caramel wrapped in chocolate and of course there's lots of caramel popcorn bursting out the top. Ooooh I really like this cake, I actually just rewatched the gravity defying watering can one which I also loved. I really don't have a good reason to watch your videos because I would never actually make anything like this, all I bake is brownies, but your commentary and genuine passion shines through in a way that keeps me watching video after video. I'm so grateful that I found this channel, and it's been a while now watching your videos. I know I can always count on an endless gallery of cheery commentary and baking to cheer me up when I'm down so thank you, Ann, so so much.

I've honestly never seen anyone make a cake as original as this in all my life and I've seen hundreds of cake videos. This is so cool and out of the box. I love it.

Speaking of fudge, try Donna Hay's caramel and peanut butter fudge! It's absolutely delicious and everyone liked it. (Unless if you or anyone in the family has a peanut allergy, then that's one GIANT oof)

oh my gosh that looks so delicious! I really love how the pot looks with the dusted silver over the chocolate, it makes it look old and worn, much more realistic than when people use it over plain white fondant or white chocolate for a cooking supply. Now I'm really in the mood for popcorn, it looks so good! My friend's mum does this awesome savoury popcorn with parmesan cheese and tiny bits of bacon. If you've never tried it I'd definitely suggest it. she makes it huge bowls at a time for even just me and my friend and it's gone within about 15 minutes! also, best of luck to the people entering the competition! I already have a stand mixer from my birthday a few years back, so I figure it's only fair to let people who don't have one get a better shot, y'know? :D

You should go on ZUMBO'S JUST DESSERTS!!! I bet Ann would win! If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, Zumbo's Just Desserts is a show on Netflix. What you do is bake a dessert that matches the theme Zumbo chooses in a certain amount of time. The bottom two people are have to go in a Zumbo test, a Zumbo test is where you have to bake one of Zumbo's desserts. I live in the U.S. so just correct me if I'm wrong, but for those of you who don't know who Zumbo is but I THINK he is a famous baker in Australia?

Definitely trying for a mixer! It's rough using a hand mixer for baking things. Especially around the holidays, trying to make bread without a standing mixer is hard.

This is so amazing and so creative I love it very much, it looks really fun, at the same time mind-blowing, I wish I could have made this for my cake competition this year, unfortunately I did not win, which isn't a problem because I enjoyed every second of it, it was a memorable experience I won't forget, though I did win our Uni cupcake competition:) I made a pumpkin pecan bacon cupcake, LOL at first, I thought it was the weirdest thing ever, but I went with it and eventually everybody loved it haha 😊

Guys i have a kitchenaid mixer and trust me they are the best!! Ive had my red one for 3 years now and its still going strong! Its really powerful and I love it :D I hope to keep it until I open my very own bakery!!

This is soooo lovely. And what I love the most about it: It's actually edible, not just a giant blob of nicely shaped fondant. No, nobody can convince me that fondant it edible. It's just not toxic. So many beautiful cakes are just beautiful, but this looks actually beautiful and delicious. Thank you so much for sharing this. haha yes, it was almost a blunder tonight. We have 30 people around for a christmas party & one of the kids came up and said: "why haven't you uploaded tonight?" I had to sprint to my computer 😂😂😊

Do you live anywhere at an altitude of above 3,000 feet? A high-altitude environment might be the problem.

Wow! I really want to try this but my family is small and don’t like eating that much cake! Will definitely make the popcorn for a movie night with friends, they’ll be so confused!

i did it with a bowl so it looked like a bowl of popcorn. much smaller and easier
