I like this episode because of its simple moral that I don't see a lot: just acknowledging that there are good and bad bosses, but either way they're not there to be liked.

According to this episode's commentary track, the series was allowed to use the word murder but couldn't use the word death. That's why whenever someone dies in a cartoon they usually say they're gone.

@@khanburger3610 Tbf, being thrown down the stairs is obviously dangerous and if anything, showing it teaches kids that they shouldn't fall or push people down stairs. But if characters don't buckle up then kids could start thinking that it's ok not to buckle up.

I agree that 19’s when it really kicks off, but I worry that these guys will pay attention to the lore (usually a great thing) but they Won’t know that some of the lore was genuinely retconned in s2, so they might make theories that could hinge on information that changes later :/ (though to be fair some of the lore in the show gets retconned Again in the journal so it’s not that big of a deal)

Not only are there no proper grapling guns for sale, if you believe the mythbusters we can't currently make one that works like in the superhero movies. (As in a hand held device that is strong enough to shoot a hook on a rope for any real distance and contains a wrench strong enough to lift a human)

@@Pir-o (One short check later) Huh, looks like an arm mounted wrench is possible now. But if I remember right, the main problem was to get all of the things into a design as small as a pistol. (Combined with the batteries, because lets face it a 40kW motor doesn't run on a couple AA batteries)

What I would like to know is how Dipper caught the monster in the first place? He dragged it there in a sack and put it in a cage, but couldn’t remove it from the premises. So what actually happened for him to capture it?

In the journal it says: "I went to a spooky-looking part of the forest and built one of those tiger traps. It wasn't long before i caught something. I slowly lowered my sack over its enormous head and the monster immediately fell asleep. I tied one end of a rope around the sack and the other to the back if the golf cart. I dragged it out of the hole and back to the Shack." i left some parts out though because it would be too long and besides the point

This is one of my fav episodes cos the message is really unique for a cartoon shows! It pretty much a message on how to be a good boss (be nice but don't be a step over from your employee) unlike other cartoons that spew out the same messages like "it ok to be different" or approach things one at a time than all at once sort of messages!

@@jstarwars360 I think that would be awesome, I just dont know if they have already seen TNG, but it would be cool if they would start from the beginning, obviously they would know the basic stuff and the actual people from the series before starting on Picard that is years later and..yeah..I would binge watche these guys reacting to the whole TNG series and Picard :D

@@SiljeKristin94 The only issue is there's so much of TNG and I'm unsure if it would get enough views to justify them doing it. They could do the 20-30 great episodes of the series but there are some truly bonkers episodes, especially in the early seasons, that would make for some great reactions. As for skipping TOS, they could do what Gallifrey Gals does and just cover one or two of the fan favorites in-between TNG seasons. As much as I enjoy TOS, I feel you could easily pick out 10-15 essential episodes.

I'm going to be honest but this episode along with "The Deep End" were my least favorite episodes in Season 1. I'm sure the majority may like the episode, but frankly, this episode didn't do it for me and felt like a "filler episode" that didn't contribute to anything to the story of Gravity Falls, and especially for character development.

My least favorite is time travelers pig I liked the introduction to blendin and waddles, and the dipper and wendy interactions but other then that, I hated it

At least Time Traveler's Pig had development with Dipper and Mabel, and had enjoyable moments compared to "Boss Mabel" and soon "The Deep End" which felt like random episodes that were just too linear and didn't had ANY character growth and development nor did it contribute to Gravity Falls mystery and overarching plots, so frankly those episodes from Season 1 including the next 1-2 from Season 2 are skippable.
