Not S&P approved is referring to standards and practices, the department that deals with the ethical/moral standards of tv shows. It was them taking a jab at Disney's stringent standards and practices. They wouldn't let them get through jokes like a box of cereal named Penta-Grahams that said "don't sacrifice flavor."

About Wendy dating Robby I feel Wendy based on what we know of her just likes to try things out. I mean when she answered Robby's question on going to be her GF she just said "Sure why not." Wendy probably is just experimenting as teenagers sometimes do. We already know she has dated tons of people so she clearly has a history of just accepting people's dates.

I remember I gasped when the Trickster ate the kid. The Trickster also reminded me of NoFace from Spirited Away.

"S & P" was a dig at the "standards and practices" at Disney which limited things that the creator Alex Hirsch could put in the show. He was constantly pushing the envelope with this show and you'll be surprised with the horror elements he was able to get in as the show progressed. If you look him up he did interviews and cons explaining his experiences with standards and practices. The funny thing is that even with that there were still some parents that complained lol.

Definately the loser candy for me growing up were a tie between those weird rippled no name brand lollipops that had no flavor and just tasted like sugar, the gummy burgers/pizzas and the Popeye candy sticks. As a fan of the series, I actually did carve a Jack O Melon one summer in college, bought some bland gummy candy from the dollar store and watched some cheesy 50's monster movies to celebrate Summerween. 😆

hey guys, a fantastic show to check out on Halloween would be "Over the Garden Wall"! the voice cast is amazing, the music and animation as well. only one season of 10 episodes.

This was always my favorite Gravity Falls episode. The amount of times I watched it as a kid is innumerable it always hit different

Please, Please, Please watch the shorts between seasons, even if it's on your own time. They give some good hints as to what's happening in Gravity Falls. They're also disturbingly funny. "The Time Has Come!"

Everyone's mentioning Spirited Away for the Trickster but I was getting the scary owl from the library episode of Avatar vibes

Very bone-chilling episode and also the first and so-far ONLY Holiday themed episode of Gravity Halls considering they haven't done anything else beyond Summerween. This episode is terrifying than Head Hunters and Inconveniencing, but not as scary as the episodes in Season 2 so stay tuned Blind Wave. I also enjoy Jeff Bennett (Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Dad in Dexter's Laboratory, Kowalski in _Penguins of Madagascar,_ Petrie in _The Land Before Time_ series since the 2nd film, Brooklyn in Gargoyles, etc.) as the Summerween Trickster who gives off a cold sinister voice and can't help but get Slenderman and No Face (Spirited Away) vibes from this character as he was inspired by them especially No Face.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes. The trickster was actually pretty creepy

The thing is, my entire family loves gravity falls so much that we all try and celebrate summerween every summer, of course we can’t trick or treat but we set up a scavenger hunt and it’s lovely.

S&P reference is a behind the scenes joke. Standards and Practices (S&P) keeps things PG and family friendly. Alex had a long running fight with the department. This was his jab at them after losing over a spin the bottle joke. Basically he made them write “not S&P approved has been approved by S&P” on the memo and it kinda made them look like idiots

What a fun episode this was! I really like it when other characters get brought in on the supernatural stuff. That final scene of everyone hanging out watching tv was very nice.

Weighing in on Summerween: when I lived more up north, our costumes were actually limited by how cold it was, so trick or treating on a summer evening would have been the perfect temperature!

This episode is the first episode I have ever seen on Gravity Falls I did not see the series while it was out in the country a year and a half after that and for some reason the episode Summerwin aired on TV he intrigued me and made me laugh and then I decided I wanted to know a little more about the series

The no s&p was explaind in a rescent video showing disney censor requests it should have been bottles will be spun but s&p said it gives the wrong impression so alex said he will write down not s&p approoved.

In the commentary track, series creator Alex Hirsch reveals that there was originally a much scarier version of the ghost car gag but Disney made him dial it down.

As someone who watched Spirited Away recently, I feel this episode definitely took some “inspiration” from it

I started looking for episodes of "Gravity Falls" on Disney XD in mid-May 2023 after seeing episode #1 on KZfaq. I "got on the bus to Piedmont" in late July 2023, then noticed a few episodes hadn't been broadcast by Disney XD. As of this date (September 3, 2023), "Summerween" hasn't been broadcast. Is "Summerween" "too scary for modern audiences," or "just sub-par" according to rating sites? However, it is day four of Disney pulling their content off the Spectrum cable TV network. I miss FX, FXX ("Bob's Burgers") and NatGeo, but Nickelodeon and Smithsonian are still available.
